Carefree Stuff Spa Escort Side Swiveling Handrail and Towel Bar

The media could not be loaded.  I really needed this safety addition after the steps slid out from under me exiting the hot tub and I had a hard fall. It was easy to install and surely will be a great safety addition. I’m glad they included a few extra parts, like the screw cap beauty covers. My only complaint is the slightest bit of wiggle and play in the top bar when it’s “locked” into position. Almost as if the pole it is being inserted into is slightly too large. See the video for the description of my issue. Makes me a little nervous, but perhaps I will get used to it.

As in my review title above. The Carefree handrail has a lot going for it. And one of things is the way the numerous attachment screws are on large bases that spread the connection to the spa's vertical salts over several. But that, alas, can also be a hitch as it requires a fairly large flat area for attachment. -Something unavailable on my Sundance Maximus spa with its broad stock stairs reaching almost all the way to the beginning of the curves in its shape.That WAS a disappointment. Especially since there is not mention of this need for a perfectly flat mounting area on thee site.For spas without this issue it struck me as a winner. Well built, strong and nicely designed and finished.

I love the way this works and how sturdy it is with standard installation. I read a few reviews that said follow directions. Mine did not come with directions. You might goof it up if you dont have any basic sense on how things work and what you should start on.

Works really well in or out of the hot tub. This is much better than trying to get out on our own. My one suggestions is to follow the instructions exactly.

This was pretty easy to install, and works great for getting my dad (recent stroke) in and out of the hot tub!!

I purchased two of these and they are great for getting into and out of a corner tub. The swivel feature allows you to swing the handle 180 degrees too!

It's fairly easy to install but if you can't get ALL of the screws perfectly straight (which is impossible even with the template) the caps to cover the screw heads won't stay on so you get silver screwheads against black. Why not just do black screws?
