Great book, & a must read
This book is certainly a great read for any fans of the show "Ghost Adventures" & is definitely a must, especially for anyone wanting to get into paranormal investigating as Zak mentions a few tips on how to get into thefield for those interested. It's certainly not an easy one but also very serious, & not something to take lightly, so this is definitely the book to read, compared to his 2nd book "I Am Haunted" which is a bit more personal.I was hoping to finish the book the day I received it, however, was unable to do so, & finished the remaining chapters the next day.But with that said, it was quite the read indeed. 5/5 starsRecommend for all fans of GA or anyone wanting to become paranormal investigators. =)

Meh. Just watch the show.
Written as he talks, this is like sitting down to listen to Zak Bagans tell you his motivation and beliefs. I was hoping for more ghost stories, evidence thar wasn't aired, or details about what he's experienced. As Zak says... this book opens "a whole new bag of squid." Its more of an essay complaining to/about fellow investigators and problems in advancing their field. I guess, all in all, just kind of boring and pointless. Sorry Zak. Ill still watch everything you make, and hope you keep at it for years to come.

You will learn more about the science of the paranormal.....
I learned about Zak Bagans and how he grew up. I have a much deep appreciation and genuine understanding of why he loves the paranormal, history, and science and why he enjoys talking to the spirits from the past. I've always been a curious believer than a skeptic growing up. What I've learned from this book that I never knew about: the Bernoulli Principle, Photokinesis, Ley lines, Traceable Path in our brains. Yes, I believe the EVP evidence can help solve cold case murders, disappearances, and kidnappings for police investigations.

creditable, educational, easy to read
I liked how it was less "Ghostadventures" related, and more educational and informative to what the actual paranormal community and field is about. It was easy to follow, and shows how well educated Zak is in this field, which makes him and others in this book more credible in my opinion. Of course I love the tv show, but this was more interesting and makes me respectful on a different level (not that I didn't respect the field before) excellent read!!

Not just an extension of Ghost Adventures......
Yes Zak does bring up a lot of the shows and some things that if you watch it may already know but how could he not, in attempts to explain the paranormal world that lives and surrounds us all even if we may not be sensitive to it or maybe not quite believe everything that he does. I only very recently really started watching it though I had seen some episodes here and there and have watched several different other shows of similar background and there are times where I still remain highly skeptical about it all and other times where I truly believe that not all those who have passed on have completely left us. He explains his experiences, the paranormal community which tends to be scoffed at in general and yet people remain fascinated and almost everyone to some degree believes that there is something beyond death that sometimes holds people back from crossing over to eternal rest. It was a fascinating read, and an interesting look into how much farther the paranormal community still needs to go into being recognized as something more than just a passing fanciful moment.........

Technology Used In Paranormal Investigations
Zak Bagans is passionate for paranormal investigations. He is an experienced advocate of scientific inquiry, in developed theories for advancement with paranormal research.Digital recorders capture paranormal voices at above and below frequencies, than human ears can detect. Paranormal spirits composed of weak energy manifest into sound or sight with a contact having a greater amount of energy that they can borrow or take altogether. This is key to understanding the paranormal. Some examples of energy are electronic equipment, lights, cameras, batteries, cars, EMF pumps, water and human beings. The Law of Energy Conservation, states energy can neither be created nor destroyed in a closed system. With this law all energy in the universe has been made, and our physical bodies are individual containers of personal energy. When the body dies energy is released back into the universe. It is the way air is released back into the atmosphere when a balloon pops. With paranormal manifestation; almost always there is an unmistakable transfer of energy, from a known source to an unknown receiver. Some examples of transfer are a complete drain on equipment or simply a flickering light.Certain areas can become imprinted with severe energy (as in the potter's wheel heard as analyzed years later in pottery.) In residual areas activity can be heard as one form of recorded communication. Other areas respond during an investigation. Many active paranormal places are mentioned and some are favorites. Static night vision cameras are used, along with EMF detectors in investigations to capture paranormal events, and contact responses. Orbs, intelligent haunting's and more are documented in this well written book. Quantum physic regards time in the universe as a series of branched events. I own a copy of this book and recommend it to those interested.

A Good Read
I have been a fan of Ghost Adventures for years and when I saw this book online I had to get it. Zak Bagans seems like a pretty interesting guy and has a lot of experience under his belt when it comes to ghost investigations. I found this book to be very compelling in parts and not so much in others. I do appreciate him sharing his personal experiences with the super natural. The only part I didn't really care for was the ending. It sort of fell flat for me. Overall, a good book and helps give a reader an idea of what ghost hunters have to endure while they go on investigations.

A journey into the unknown
Not had this book long but have started reading it and so far have found it one of the most enjoyable and enlightening books on the subject by a professional on the market who knows what he is talking about and has been there and done that and actually talks some sense on the matter he does not try to blind you with science nor is he dismissing science either, he is telling you what he has seen throught his own eyes and takes you in to the vision and lets you see it as he has. Also i would recommend that the team of Most Haunted read this book they just might learn how to do a proper and professional investigation instead of the terrible amatuer mess they do do

So Much Better Than I Thought
I had my reservations reading this I'm a huge GAC fan and was putting off reading Zak's books as some of the reviews were less than complimentary. I took the plunge and was not disappointed, he really opened my eyes to more possiblities and answers a lot of my burning questions. The Zak we see on the telly does slightly come across in the book, a little arrogant and self centered but I still don't think that is the real Zak! He is so very intelligent and his theories are interesting and have substance and he backs them up with fact, I have just down loaded book 2 and am hoping to see more of his true personality shine through. Having followed Zak for a number of years I have learnt that he has a true heart that perhaps gets carried away with the celebrity "image" I am not by any means a sceptic but have yet to have my own experiences and this book opens my mind to many more possibilities and future advancements to finding the truth behind life after death, I also believe the Zak and the GAC would be the ideal people to start the database on paranormal Phenomena. I could go on for ages about this book, but I highly recommend you read it for yourselves to appreciate just how good it is

Brilliant Book
An amazing book. Zak starts by talking about his personal life and experiences, and what made him interested in the paranormal in the first place. He then breaks down some of the most memorable GA episodes/moments and some moments which were never shown on screen, and he gives his theories on why spirits act the way that they do. Later on in the book he discusses science (quantum physics) and provides valid scientific facts which could explain the paranormal. I think that it’s an interesting read for both believers and skeptics alike as it is relatively unbiased and Zak sees it from both sides. The book also provides answers to many questions we may have about GA and the paranormal in general, for example why PIs usually choose to investigate at night. A gripping book which really drew me in, well worth the read.

Dark World - oh definitely!!!
Ever since i started watching Zak and his Ghost Adventures crew on satellite t.v a few years ago i have been hooked. They are the kings of ghost hunting. I have all their DVD's so far so just had to try Zak's book. Its very informative and it is interesting to read about his childhood and teenage years and what he went through which led him to who he has become now. His own paranormal experience helped him to try and understand a subject that i and many others find utterly fascinating. He talks about various things like different types of hauntings and how he has been affected by them, the adventures the crew have been on that have not made it onto screen, he gives advice to wannabe investigators and what they should be looking out for etc etc.... All in all a good read and what i also like about Zak, Nick & Aaron is that i feel that they are totally genuine. If they get scared ( which they do often) you will feel it too. It's like you are on the investigation alongside with them. And they will quickly try to debunk anything as well if they are unsure. They take their mission very seriously unlike some who are just out for fame and fortune. Maybe all the skeptics out there should give this book and their television programmes a whirl and see if they then maybe think about the paranormal in a new light. It has made me think twice i must say!!

Gives you something to think about
I'm not a full believer of ghosts. I feel like theres something there but I dont know for sure what it is. I love Zak Bagans and this book is great for any fan. The scientific explanations were great but it got rather repetitive after a while. I reccomend if you're looking for something as a nice past time and I will be reading his next book. Just dont be expecting anything mind blowing
