Iris Apfel is fab! And this colorful book is filled with her fotos, wisdom, advice & just artistic fun! The fotos are magnificent & she encourages every one to shine! I have ordered another book for a friend who is also an aficionado. Great read & a vision for the eyes.

Life affirming book. Wonderful. The book is a celebration of personality, color, and glorious life. After putting this book down, I am noticing the simple beauty of my daily life.

I LOVE this book. It's an easy read but Im taking my sweet time because I want to savor it. The images are colorful and amazing. There are some great tidbits of wisdom, experience and knowledge. So glad I purchased it!

I gave this as a gift to a friend who turned 75. She says she has been enjoying reading about Iris. She also told me it reminds her of my mother there is some truth to that.enjoy!

I didn't know much about Iris Apfel before I read this book. She had an interesting life and a dream career with textiles and travels. She set out to live her life and others noticed her, how could you not? Loved reading about her. I'm glad I purchased this book, it's an easy read, her life her way.

I love Iris Apfel, and I love this book . . . they are very much the same. Some reviewers have complained that there's not much here, and in a way, they're right. The book is an incarnation of Iris, and she's not a person who let's us get to know her--not before the book, and not in the book. She is, no doubt about it, an amazing icon of style, and that comes through in the book. But she is not someone who self-reveals, not someone who is comfortable sharing intimately with the whole world. (Who of us is, except those who surround themselves with mirrors, literal and metaphorical?) Anyway, this is not an auto-biography and it's not a memoir. It's just photos and a few vignettes--interesting and amusing--strung together. To me, totally worth both the price and the time. I love her, I admire her, I'm fascinated by her. If you're looking for deep, you won't find it here. To those who want to know her intimately, I'm sure her answer would be the same as to those who want to browse her closets--"that's never going to happen."
