Q: Can you remove it from the pot?

No you can't remove it from the pot.

Q: How much does it weigh

I already planted mine along the front of the house so I couldn't tell you the weight. The pot is filled with a solid heavy material. I buried mine up in dirt to the top of the pot. It's been about 7 months and hasn't budged a bit.

Q: Does it retain rain water in the middle?

I dont have this outside, its in my livingroom only. It's made out of heavy plastic. Mine never gets wet so I wouldn't be sure if water would go through it.
