Big growing space for little cost
I am an experienced raised-bed organic gardener, usually growing in North American Cedar beds. I needed a "temporary solution" for a temporary garden and added a few vivosun 15 and 20 gallon bags. They have stood the test of time, some are going into their 4th season and show no evidence of expiring soon. This year, I decided I could invest in soil, but still am in a garden spot I expect to change so decided to add one 55 gallon bag and, after seeing how sturdy it was, I took a risk on the 129 gallon one. I am pleased with both. One reviewer was critical of the sections not being sewn to the floor of the bag. I have thought about whether it would be better to be permanently affixed or not and decided, while awkward to fill, I prefer them not being separate squares. The open design allows roots to go to their own places, and it makes it a little easier to adjust the shape of the bottom. That said, it is not easy to fill one of these big things! I did the 55 gallon one alone, but enlisted the assistance of my spouse to help me get the 129 gallon one laid out and partly filled. The trick is to fill the base with enough soil that the sides stand up but not so much that the interior partitions are stabilized. At that point, you can slide the bag around and get it positioned exactly where/how you want it. Then, add the soil to the individual compartments. I use a mix of organic raised bed soil, compost and various soil amendments. I filled the sections to about half full with raised bed soil and then layered soil, compost, azomite, and fertilizer.Being an organic gardener, I am concerned about the materials the bags are made from, and from what I can read, grow-bags in general are not pristine. The non-woven ones like this one seem better, but I cannot find good information about leaching and/or microplastics. However, the costs of these bags are extremely good and the vegetables I am growing are not taking long shipping journeys nor are they sprayed with toxic chemicals so I count that as a win. Not perfect, but affordable and functional.

Raised garden liners
Perfect size and very high quality. Holds up great and seems durable. No leaking of soil from the bags.

They are soft and the dirt goes under and between
The compartments join together ... not truly separate . They are ok...

Don’t Buy
First off I want to say that I have bought from this brand before, they sell fabric round grow bags in many different gallon sizes and I love them. They have given me extra space to grow more from my non-movable, traditional beds. However this 8 pc section fabric grow bag is not a good product. First the 8 divided sections are only attached to the side walls not the bottom. So when you put dirt in it, it goes everywhere, it’s hard to get the sides walls down into the dirt, if you try to move it, it’s a mess. Basically it’s not a good item. The section needed to be attached at the bottom and not open. There’s no good way to fill it, keep the size down and move it if you need to. Unfortunately I got the bright idea to just cut the cubbies out not thinking there isn’t anything holding up the outer walls, well it went into the trash there was non way to make it work as it was or modify it. I wanted to love this product how it was a bust.
