Good foam, excellent adhesion
First, I cut a 6" round piece and attached to to the base of my Mac Mini to keep it from moving on my desk. Now I can plug/unplug USB ports more easily. Next, I wrapped some around a 4" piece of 1 1/2" PVC to use as a hand grip for arthritis hand exercises. Next, I cut a piece about 4x8", rounded the corners, and cut out a space the size of my computer mouse. I left the backing paper on and now move the mouse on my cold winter desktop with my cold hand resting on the warm foam. There'll be dozens of other uses as time goes by. The foam seems pretty sturdy, about the same as a set of plastic-bottom, foam cushioned furniture moving pads I have. I don't know yet how durable this will be, but it works well for my little projects so far. In the spring, I'll probably wrap it around my lawn mower handle to dampen the vibration for my arthritic hands.

Great for dampening vibration to electronics
I've used these to dampen the vibration from the walls my AC unit sits on, the very same wall I mount my modem and router to. So I've used these in between the pegboards that mount to the wall and in between the electronic device the mounts to the pegboard. I barely feel any vibration to the modem and router therefore increasing the longevity of their lifespan. Very easy to apply, cut to size and remove if need so.

Worked for me
Needed this to attach to velcro straps that attached saddlebags across a seat on a motorcycle to prevent them from abraiding the paint. The foam, while fairly dense could be bent to a 90-degrees with no problem. The adhesive was not strong enough to stick to the fabric so I used a contact cement which did the trick.I'm sure it would stick to a flat non fabric surface.

Foam, not rubber at all
these are just adhesive backed foam pads. There is no rubber whatsoever. Great if you need foam, awful if you wanted rubber.
