Excelsior Worldwide Limited Wooden 'Box' Clock with LED and Sound Activation (Wood with GREEN led)

It arrived Saturday and the batteries ran out today! from a brand new box of Duracell batteries. It would have been a useful clock. Yes, it can be plugged in to the mains, but that wouldn't reach from my window sill.

So after receiving this item I was very surprised how nice it looked. When the display was on it looked awesome. Very tidy and clean cut, so totally happy......Until.....I had the item delivered on the 5th July and immediately fitted batteries.Replaced the first set of new batteries I put in on the 12th July.Replaced the second set of new batteries again on the 19th July.At this rate Duracell won't be able to keep up with my battery demand.To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I thought after the first set that perhaps they were not fully charged, so checked the second ones before I put them in. Being as new and more full of charge than a Ryan air ticket it just amaizes me why they drop so fast. If the clock could be used as a shipping beacon to stop them running aground I would understand (actually no ships have run aground here in Bradford during the time the clock has been used) but where is the power going?!?! Why is it so needy?Of course someone will say "well why don't you plug it in to the socket then?!". Well I will be, but I used batteries as I don't have a socket near where I wanted to place it. Plus if battery power gets drained fast what's the energy consumption going to be on mains.It's such a shame. I really thought this little block of fake wood would be great.....I was wrong, it's just ok.

Not as big as looks in photos & instructions in broken English. Otherwise it does what it says on the tin.

Easy to set up

Whilst this was a really nice to look at bedside clock, I found it overly bright at night even on the lower setting so I ended up putting parcel tape over the time to dim it down a little. Unfortunately after six months it has suddenly stopped working altogether and having lost all of the packaging it seems to much of a hassle to return it. Would not buy again.

Exactly as discribed, very nice product & dispatched on time. Down side, it eats battery power

This is a discreet device and welcomed for our family.

The clock will only stay on all the time if plugged in.When powered by batteries you have to get up and press the top to see the time.Not ideal if your in bed and the clock is at the bottom !
