This small Agave grows up to 1 foot high and wide with stiff, narrow, spine-like leaves. The showy white leaf edges have curling fibers that give the plant a hairy look. Plant in full sun to light shade. Requires little irrigation. Likely hardy to about 20F and possibly colder. Does well in containers. Part to full sun. In climates where temperatures reach 25F or lower they should be grown in pots so that they can be moved indoors during the winter. Can also be grown inside in shade or full sun. Prefers a well drained soil and is drought tolerant. Grows up to 3'h x 3'w. Lifespan is about 10 years at which time it sends up a flower that can reach 18 feet tall. Zones 9-10. Native to western Mexico.
