We took this key to Ford and they said it was not programmable. Don't buy this one, buy the OEM.

So I bought a Ford Escape from some used car lot. It only came with one key... no remote. Turns out the key is that I have a MYKEY-Key which means my car has locked parental controls. I can't go over 80mph, I have to click my seat belt to hear the radio..etc. Needless to say, I can't just program another remote with the child key I have. So, I can either go to the dealer and pay close to 350$ for two new keys and a pat-sys reset... or do a DIY thing. I did the DIY thing... I happen to have a consumer version of the dealer's diagnostics program for Windows and an OBDii Connector. I was able to reset it BUT I had to buy 2 blank keys, cut them, and reprogram it with that Software. WOW! took me a month to figure all this out..,. i figured i would share.

I ordered this Keyless Car Start Control Raryloy Key Fob for Ford for my 2019 Ford Escape. This is a listed compatible vehicle according to the product information description.Neither the Ford Service department and a private locksmith (that has the equipment to program FOBs) were not able to get this FOB to program with my 2019 Escape.
