Best two player story driven coop game out right now
Get. The. Game. Just finished playing this with one of my closest friends, and we had a great time. This game is really solid. I don't write game reviews, but this NEEDS to be supported. You play as Vicent and Leo as you attempt to escape prison and beyond. Vincent is a more calculated calm type, and Leo is a much more brash and quick tempered type. This makes the adventure awesome because there are multiple times in the game when you'll have to decide with your mate which approach is the most efficient: Vincent's or Leo's. Some of Leo's ideas are halarious. The coop set pieces are awesome. I've never seen coop used this way, so its great their using it in new interesting and engaging ways. Offline story based coop is a dying breed, but after going through those set pieces.... man I have some hope again. Music is great, especially in the moments leading up to the ending. You really feel the bond these two individuals created over the coarse of the game. It feels real, which made the ending so heartfelt and raw. I was never bored playing this. The only complaint I have, is that this wasn't sold for $60 at release. I don't say that because I want to pay more for the same game, but because this adventure could have been so much more fleshed out. Better graphics, longer story, more polished game mechanics, etc. Please Buy the game if you like this type of genre. You won't regret it. For $30, I could not have asked for more. I look forward to whatever game Hazelight studios comes out with in the future. Hopefully it will have much more backing. I will be copping that day 1.

Just OK! Finished in 2 days...
This is a okay game but it was extremely short! My 10 year old son and I finished this game in two days. If you like a co-op local game then this would be one. One of the other downsides to this game is, when it's time to make a choice it's more like the "computer" doing it, your not really actually controlling the player besides pushing one button over and over. The ending had preset options based on what you choose. It was okay but "It Takes Two" was a lot more engaging and not so "computerized" also there is not an option for free play once you finish the game so then it's useless and just collects dust. This game was like watching a movie and choosing how you want the movie to go. You have to watch it completely, no parts can be skipped either.

First half 4.5 second half 3. Short but fun
I’m having a hard time rating the game. Going with 4, since ultimately we had fun. For the first half I’d say 4.5. The prison aspect was so interesting. It was a great experience with my wife trying to figure out all the puzzles and working together. If the full game was like that, then damn it would be amazing. After you break out there is only one other area that felt more of figuring things out and working together. The rest of the game is more of a 2.5-3. It’s fine. Some parts are fun, but overall it loses a lot of the beginning beauty. I was ultimately surprised at how short it was. My wife and I finished it in about half a day (we like gaming, but aren’t at gamers status). So for the money it might not be worth it, but for the fun time with my wife, priceless. I won’t even get to the ending. I’m sure others have provided a better explanation on it.

I LOVE this (True Multiplayer) Coop game!! (We NEED more games like these... they are so much fun!!!)
I don't understand the hate. First off, I will say that the game is slow at moments, but that doesn't mean its a bad game. It has some really fun moments and IT'S COUCH COOP!!!!!! We don't even see that anymore. Living out in the country, I don't get that great of internet and I hate dealing with someone online. I rather sit down, and play a came (in the same room) with my brother. Games like these don't happen anymore, and here is me hoping the future brings back couch (the real multiplayer) coop. I love this game, because I finally can play a game with my brother again. Yes, sports and racing (and the tiresome call of duty) games do have couch coop, but those don't count since they are getting boring with the same old couch coop. I wanted something new and fresh, and this is what this game delivers. It's exactly what I've wanted in a game for so long now. Now, if we can get a couch coop horror game or something like that. That'd be awesome, but doubt that will ever happen. Oh well... least we got one game with couch coop.

I like the idea of playing couch co-op throughout a singular ...
I was surprised at how interesting this game seemed before I bought it. I like the idea of playing couch co-op throughout a singular story as the two main characters. I played this with my husband and really enjoyed how the screen space was utilized to show the two perspectives happing at once and even other scenes littered around at times. It was a unique experience and I enjoyed playing with someone right next to me. I can't vouch for online play as I never tried it, but I think if both players had headsets and communication that it could be enjoyed with a stranger as well.I think this game is actually pretty awesome and the only downside to it is a combination of the price and the length. For $30, the game is awfully short and it's both a price/quantity issue and just sad because I wanted to see more about Vincent and Leo. The game does a good job of making you like the two main characters and the ending is both amazing and unexpected. But with all that in mind, it feels like their story is so short and I would have liked it to have been longer, especially considering the game is $30 and only lasts a few hours. That aside, the gameplay was a little unimpressive at times and the controls could often leave a lot to be desired, but it was still enjoyable and a good story.
