Wireless a gogo.
Just purchased this product from Alarms & Lightbulbs (Direct Ltd) and have now installed the alarm.the order arrived a couple of days ahead of schedule and was packed fairly well so no complaints there,First of all I have to agree with another review that I had read before purchase is that the only thing thatis marked as a sentry pro product is the outside bell box and that's just a small sticker so a little bit of misleadingthere.Even on the main unit and all the paper work that comes with it have nothing to say that it is sentry pro product. The paperwork and manual don't give you any information on how long the outside bell box should be chargedbefore installation and the paperwork has been translated from Chinese to English pretty poorly make of that what youwill. That is my only complaint on the product as I found the alarm quite easy to install and it happens to be one of the betterones on the market.I took the advice of another reviewer and purchased from Alarms & Lightbulbs and no problem recommending them asI have read other Q & A and they seem to be on the ball. The alarm itself is very effective and should give me peace of mind over my property. The only reason I have dropped to 4 x stars is the paperwork that comes with itIf you are looking for a wireless alarm look no further and give it a go.The company had all the P.I.R.s and contacts all calibrated so it was pretty straight forward to install.I hope this review helps in your choice.

I think it is an excellent alarm and really easy to install
This alarm system was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to avoid drilling holes all over my house and having ugly wires everywhere. My only concern initially was that other wireless gear would cause false alarms but the supplier assured me that this would not happen and since installing there have been none. I think it is an excellent alarm and really easy to install. All the window and door transmitters and magnets fit via adhesive pads so I didn't have to drill into my new doors and windows. My window frames have an angled bezel shape so it was a bit tricky getting the sensor and magnet close enough to make contact. I would suggest putting on the adhesive pads but then temporarily holding the transmitter and magnet in place with tape in order to get the right positions before committing to the more permanent adhesive pads. As long as the green light comes on when you open the window or door it is ok.The perimeter switches and PIR's (and remotes) were all pre-configured so once fitted can work independently. You have a home setting which allows you to arm the perimeter switches but not the sensors which is great for us because we have dogs and can still arm the alarm when we go out for short times and leave them. Because it is wireless I was able to include our dogs outside shed and run (close to the house) in the perimeter of the alarm. The outside siren box is charged by sunlight once initially charged for 48 hours. I will update later on how this performs in our grey old winters but it is of good quality and pumps out a lot of noise. There's a red light that pulses when it is on. One warning though when fitting this on your outside wall, before you screw the back on the alarm box you need to turn on the on/off switch inside. The box clips onto a metal bracket that you have previously mounted with 4 screws. There is obviously a very sensitive tamper switch that does not like the box being messed with which is good but not when you are fitting it. Like me you will be up the ladder and will go to clip it on it's bracket and it will go off in your face and this is not pleasant. So have the remote in your pocket and maybe some ear plugs in, (the control unit was disarmed when this happened). This is probably unavoidable so still 5 stars, but just be prepared. Obviously make sure you have tested your remote before doing this.As far as the control unit is concerned, you need to order a standard sized sim card before receiving your alarm as it uses this to call your selected number and notify you via your own recorded message that your alarm has been triggered. You also have the option to send the alarm commands by selecting numbers on your phone keypad, for instance disarm it (if you also have cctv for instance and can see what's happening in your home remotely). I think the alarm has a microphone as well and seem to recall the manual said you can monitor it from your phone as well. This is all great stuffSo, so far very good experience and I can't see any reason to suspect that this alarm will not continue to be of good quality/value and long lasting but if that changes I will update this review.

Solar powered siren is bad idea, it stops functioning during winter months
Think twice with this system because the solar powered siren will run out of charge during winter months and stop functioning frequently from day to day. It may fail to arm one morning or it may arm at first but later cease to function some time during the day when it has insufficient charge. So it cannot be trusted and is totally inadequate to support a 24/7 alarm system. Having climbed up the ladder to retrieve it and charged it from the mains adaptor several times, now told to send it back for checking because it may be "user error". What user error could it be if the siren is supposed to look after itself which evidently it is not capable of doing so?

Does the jop, but some of the features don't ...
Does the jop, but some of the features don't work on it, and had quite a few false alarms. One could argue that maybe there is something wrong with my home, but I have them installed in both my home and another in my place of business, and in both cases I get false alarms. And when I get to my home or business, I don't find the alarm sounding...So I'm always left wondering whether it sounded at all.

Generally good but could be better
Good alarm but a have had few false alarms for no obvious reason.Key fob and window/door sensor batteries last no more than 4 months and expensive to replace if you have a lot of sensors (Duracell LR27 cost about £3.79 each).Once you read the instruction manually fully (it is not in user friendly speak but appears to be written by a techie) you can master the system but again, the system could be slightly more user friendly being code based. The sensors are all coded for you but there is no note on each to tell you what number they have been allocated which is frustrating and you will need to work them out or recode them (worse case).Annoying at night that the alarm panel lights up (when the alarm is off) when a sensor detects movement.
