Poor quality and poorly designed spout
Two major flaws with this product. The product shattered during normal use! While making a normal pour over with a ceramic v60 brewer on top, there was a loud pop and a large oval piece of the outer wall suddenly shot off the bolio pot! I’d only had this server for a few months and there were no cracks or flaws apparent before this happened.Smaller flaw, but still annoying - the shape of the spout on the Bolio ensures that with every pour one or two drips of coffee run down the outside and form a ring at the bottom of the pot. It’s s poor design although easily addressed by always using a towel to wipe after every pour.

Cork lid changes flavor of coffee
I appreciate the look of the carafe, and it keeps my coffee relatively warm for ~1 hour, but the cork has a strong smell that leaches into the coffee stored inside. I'm not dunking the cork into the coffee or anything like that--just flavor exchanged from storing hot coffee inside with the lid closed. I've washed the cork several times.I can believe the the fragile glass will break if handled improperly, as I have seen some other reviews claim. However, that will be the case for all double-walled glass carafes like this.

Broke spontaneously after 1 week
I am so bummed... I just heard a "crack" in the kitchen, and found that the bottom of my lovely glass server had spontaneously broken away from the body. It was just sitting empty on the kitchen counter, and had been empty since this morning!!! I've never seen anything like this in my life. The bottom piece was quite thin, and it broke off very cleanly and smoothly. And no, it was never put into the dishwasher.

Maybe I got a deffective one? Kept coffee hot for 15 min only, then shattered in the dishwasher.
Kept the coffee hot for only 15 minutes or so. Then it shattered in the dishwasher (no, there was nothing rattling around that hit it---the bottom came off with a clean round break). Perhaps it was defective, given the other good reviews. Thanks, Amazon, for taking it back.

It broke
This carafe is my new favorite. I've gone though a couple other typical beehive style carafes that were nice but pretty fragile and didn't insulate or keep my coffee hot for very long. This one is fairly thick glass and the insulation is fantastic, I even like the little measurement markings on the side. Only downside I have is that I use the beehouse dripper for mine and it doesn't fully seat in the rim, kinda sits on top but I can't fault them (I should have measured it) I just have to carefully balance it prior to pouring water in. Highly recommended otherwiseUpdate:The bottom spontaneously separated off mine too like others have said :( it lasted quite a while and I loved it but it was just sitting on my drying rack hours after I washed it and I heard a loud crack, and saw that it was broken. Super weird actually, as it’s not like it was dropped or abused in any way
