Cheaper quality than they used to be
I have purchased these from the store in the past and, like most things nowadays, the metal feels much thinner and flimsy compared to my previous package. The hooks will bend out and slip out of the tab and/or the thin "eyes" will bend out of place making it impossible to insert the hook without bending the tab back to it's original flat shape.
