Recognising a hole in the market, popular knitwear designer and top-down knitting guru Wendy Bernard seized the opportunity to create a stitch dictionary that presents popular stitch patterns worked in all possible directions. In the Up, Down, All-Around Stitch Dictionary, Wendy presents the patterns in four different ways: knit flat from the bottom up (the classic style), knit in the round from the bottom up, knit flat from the top down and knit in the round from the top down. In this hefty collection, Bernard includes 150 stitch patterns, ranging from lace and cables to colourwork and fancy edgings, all presented in these four different formats (both charted and written out) alongside a knitted swatch of each stitch pattern.
