Excellent quality, great for outdoor winter work!
This is my second pair of Mechanix winter work gloves, and the first pair performed so well that when the waterproofing finally wore off, I knew I wanted to replace them with the same brand. I like this pair even better than my first pair, which served me well for almost seven years. First off, they fit really well. As a woman with long fingers and a wide palm that isn't very thick, finding a pair of gloves that fit is extremely difficult. Something I loved in my first pair, that's carried over to this style, is that there's enough fill in the glove that I can get the right length for my fingers without having to deal with too much space in the hand, something that makes most gloves slip around on the palm area. I pulled the size from my old pair, and the new ones in the same size fit exactly how I hoped they would. I love the inner cuff on this pair. My old gloves didn't have that, and it's a wonderful feature to keep snow from getting in. The lining is super soft fleece that's absorbant and does a fantastic job of wicking away sweat. The outer is nice heavy canvas type fabric that's held up incredibly well in my old pair, and I expect to hold up just as well in this pair. I mainly use them for snowblowing and shoveling, so the reinforced palm is really nice. I completely wore the waterproofing and grip off the palm and fingers of my old pair, but the rubber grip on these looks heavier than it ever was on the old pair, so I expect them to hold up longer. I already feel the difference in how much warmer my hands stay while doing snow removal, and how much more stable my grip is. I have less hand fatigue in these gloves, and they're definitely going to make my snow chores much, much easier. My last point is the price. When I bought my last pair, I paid between $25 and $30 at a big name hardware store, and that was on sale. I was fully prepared to spend quite a bit more for a new pair, and felt that they'd be worth it if I could get about the same amount of wear out of them. When I found these for almost the same price as my last pair, I was thrilled (about $25 in Feb 2026)! For the reliable quality, the consistent sizing, and the projected longevity (my old pair wasn't quite as heavy-duty, so I expect these new ones to last longer), I'd have paid double and called it a bargain. I absolutely love these gloves, and would happily recommend them.

Very warm, waterproof, but somewhat stiff. Still my top choice for winter activities.
These are very well insulated, My hands didn't get cold when out in below 0F temperatures, the downside is that they are very thick and it's hard to get a good grip on anything, but they will keep your hands from freezing. I'd recommend these for outdoor activities, not as work gloves. Them being waterproof is a huge bonus too, no snow/ice is able to melt into the fabric.

A review from the lumber man
They kept my hands warm and they were comfortable. I work in a lumber yard and im handling wood all day. BIG WOOD. They only lasted a month and are junk now. But they were affordable. That's a plus

The best.
Warm and tough. Mechanix is the best.

Great work gloves that aren't for recreation.
Works great. The palms are very sturdy and you can't feel the cold. The fingers are touching scree capable. Works better than the snowboard gloves I would use for shoveling snow. Definitely going to get more of these.

Great product for the price point!
I use mechanix brand gloves of several different types and this was the first winter glove I've purchased from them. The gloves are very warm and keep your hands dry in the snow, and the value was the best ever, I got them for $20! The fit is a little imperfect, I'm in between large and XL and I ordered XL and there's just barely enough room for me. But very happy overall.

Great buy
Definitely a glove I'll purchase over and over. Although I dont necessarily use it for "work work" i do use it while out in the cold and they are wonderful.

Well made, doesn't fit
These Coldwork Summit Winter gloves by Mechanix looks like they would work really well at keeping your hands warm. Unfortunately I could not find a pair that fit me. The Medium size came closest, but still too far off to work with. Could barely cram my hand through the wrist area, and when I did, the fingertips of the gloves were too long. My palms are 4" wide, and my middle finger is 3" tall.
