Works great, easy to use program, covers many modern and late model cars
In the past, I installed directed electronics DBall and Dball2 immobilizer bypass units but now I spare myself the headache of directed electronics products and instead I use EVO-all with this flash unit. I am very impressed with fortin, the manufacturer of this unit, and I highly recommend this item for self installations of remote start systems of almost any brand. As long as your remote start system has a data connection, the EVO-all should work with it. I think fortin hit it out of the park with this flash unit in combination with their free software. Directed electronics won't allow you to use their software unless you're a licensed installer so this is a must-have item if you have a car with an immobilizer you will need this to program an Immobilizer bypass such as the Evo-all. The software that's available on the manufacturer's website is very easy to use, I was able to flash the immobilizer bypass within a few minutes

EASY Interface - Well Made - Flash and Change Setting
I bought EVO-NIST1 (Stand-Alone Add-On Remote Starter) for my Nissan Altima 2012 2.5S Model to configure EVO-ALL to use my OEM Fob Key to Remote Start by pressing my FOB Key LOCK Button Three times. I planed to install it by myself after seen installation document which makes me comfortable after seen very detail graphic instructions about each specify car Model with only THREE cables to connect with provided T-Harness with 4 connectors to reconnect ( Break switch, OBD , Key port, Push-to-Start button). Normally when you buy EVO-NIST1 its come with standard configuration, to work with your specific car Model you have to reconfigure for doing that you have to have Flash-link. As I'm planning to do myself I bought Flash-Link as well.Pros:Very well madePlug n PlayEasy InterfaceVery FastConnect with your Laptop or Computer using USB cable. Install there Flash Link Manager latest Software (through there ifar.ca website), make sure when you run Flash Link Manager to connect your EVO, you need Internet all the time as software need to connect with there centralize database to communicate all the time. With Latest Flash-Link Updater V2 with Latest Flash Link Manager - It have New interface different from older one, as I watch several youtube videos how to use software and all the videos that I find was with old interface. New interface is slightly different but very easy to use. In Old Interface you will get Options with numbers 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc... but in new interface those numbering change to A.1 A.2 , B.1, B.2 etc.. but still easy to find what options you want to enable as description written in-front of each number.Flash the EVO is very straight and simple, just select your car Make, Model, Year and than click FLASH button, it took less than 20 second to Flash. There are two Modes in Flash Link Manager at lower right comer ( Connection Mode Remote-Starter ) and ( Connection Mode Bypass ) by default when you run Flash Link Manager software its set ( Connection Mode Bypass) For change to Connection Mode Remote-Starter there is an option at Lower right corner called TOGGLE to change Connection Mode.If you EVO connected through Flash Link and When you click TOGGLE to change Connection Mode you will get ERROR that device unplug or Device Note Connected. To make it work make sure whenever you want to use any Connection Mode always unplug UBS that connects to Flash link and plug back it will than detect.ConsWhenever I try to save certain options its not save all even software said its SAVED but when I refresh Option page most of the Options that I selected were unselected and I have to re-select them again and save. What I find out that there is very specific way I have to save as there is particular steps you have to take to make sure your options are safe (for me its work may be I'm missing something or its just mine software or hardware issue) as I read Flash Link Manager instruction and I can't find any specific instruction for this issue. For that issue I'm giving Four Star else it does what it made for.One more thing if you are not professional installer than you are probably Not going to use it again once you configure your EVO-ALL as per your car setting. So for me its one time use and now sitting around, I might thinking to sell it and its almost new, used only one time. There are sellers who sell EVO-ALL with preconfigure as per your car info and charge approx $20 ,if you plan to DIY and want to save $20 than buy it from them (but you might get EVO-ALL with some particular option disable that you want ) For that reason I paid extra $20 to have Flash Link.

This is a FORTIN Flashlink 4
This is a FORTIN product and was the "NEWEST VERSION". Worked perfectly on my EVO-ALL. DON"T waste money on the Fortin branded Flashlink.

Great to have
I am glad I spent the few extra dollars and purchased the Flash Loader. This one was a little cheaper than the Fortin Flashlink Updater sold on Amazon. It came in a Fortin box so ultimately I got the same thing for less.It is very easy to use (need a PC running the Fortin Flashlink Manager software, which is free). I am not a professional installer, but I sure am glad I got it. I have used it several times (to program the Fortin Evo-All to my specific vehicle and to change several options to include the activation of my RF antenna option). I have also used it on my friend’s car. I will also have it available if there are any firmware updates to my Evo-All in the future.

installed on BMW 328I coupe 2010
Installers told me that this would not work on my BMW 328i COUPE 2010 because of the fiber optic cables in the car. No one would install this with the evo-can immobilizer bypass key and door lock module. I found an installer who was willing to take the risk to install this in my BMW knowing that it may or may not mess up my electrical system I took the risk and had this installed with the evo-can(Fortin). It did not work when first installed, so I purchased the flash loader unit that updates the Evo-can to the current software. After the update installation was successful and the alarm worked perfect! The alarm that I bought was the 5904 VIPER Alarm. It works flawless, I am satisfied that this was able to work for my BMW. Hopefully this review will give you some ease if you are installing on a car that has fiber optic cables.

Don't Buy This Junk
Customer service for this and the EVO-ALL is disappointing. Without being able to view the instructions as an activation key is required the buyer doesn't know what is involved in the install. On purchase this looks like a plug in for the push-to-start button and 2 CAM wire taps to get it going. Once you get the activation key to view the instructions there are numerous taps that need to be made, definitely not anywhere near plug and play. Also, If you don't save the instructions from the activation key you lose access with 48 hours to the instructions and their customer service is no help in resolving the issue.Get it installed professionally and skip the cheaper junk.
