Great customer service
We bought this Creality Ender 3 S1 Pro for use in our company’s prototype lab. We had 4 other FDM printers in the lab at that time, but we needed another printer because these 4 units were constantly being utilized, and we needed more capacity. We wanted one that was affordable so we could share with other engineers so they could quickly check fit and function of their designs. The Creality Ender 3 S1 Pro has been a good printer for us. It shipped quickly and was packaged well. Assembly was easy and fast. (Most of the parts were pre-assembled). NOTE: make sure your voltage selector (115VAC/230VAC) is in the correct position because the power supply is not an Auto-Sensing Power Supply. This printer is similar to the Creality Ender3 V2, except it has a few upgrades/modifications. We like the extruder – it is easy to add/change filament. It also has a high temperature that can be used with multiple materials. The filament detector looked strange and seemed flimsy when it was assembled, but it works properly. It is nice that it will pause the print if the filament runs out. The LED light on top is a nice feature. We thought the touchscreen would be nice, but sometimes we can’t see it well because of the glare of the high-gloss screen. Also, the software isn’t very intuitive, but we figured it out pretty quickly. (We actually prefer the Ender3 V2’s GUI and rotary knob interface without touchscreen.) Automatic bed levelling was not very intuitive either, but we have enough experience leveling beds that we figured out how to manually level it quickly. The Creality slicing software works well and offers a lot of build options. The Creality Ender 3 S1 Pro has a parts drawer that we use to store extra parts and tools. The biggest issue we had was with the flexible magnetic build plate. We had many PLA adhesion issues with it. We tried different bed temperatures, print speeds, filament brands, and even changed ambient temperature and humidity levels in our lab. However, we couldn’t get the prints to consistently stick to the bed. Our other printers all have glass beds, and we don’t have adhesive issues with them. So, we bought a glass bed for this Creality Ender 3 S1 Pro printer and that fixed the problem. We haven’t had any more adhesion issues. (The glass bed is the only modification we made to this Creality Ender 3 S1 Pro printer). With this glass plate, our builds have been consistent and dependable. Overall, this printer has worked well for us and we are happy with the performance.Customer Support: I wanted to add some comments about this seller because SainSmart has been incredible in their support. I have reached out to them many times with questions about set-up and product functionality. I have always received prompt, courteous, and helpful replies. I have received concise answers from them, and their responses included pictures and detailed instructions and suggestions. This type of support is very valuable to me. I would definitely buy from SainSmart again.

A Game Changer in 3D Printing - Creality Ender 3 S1 Pro
The Creality Ender 3 S1 Pro 3D Printer has redefined my 3D printing experience entirely. As a hobbyist, I've used various printers, but this model stands out with its impressive features and capabilities. From the upgraded components to the user-friendly design, this printer has transformed my home 3D printing setup. I have used this printer for a bit over a month and below are my thoughts on my experiences.Features That Stand Out:High-Temp Nozzle and All Metal Direct Drive Extruder:The inclusion of a high-temperature nozzle and all-metal direct drive extruder is a game-changer. I can now experiment with a broader range of materials, including advanced filaments that demand higher temperatures. The extruder design also minimizes filament jams and enhances overall print reliability. I used various SainSmart filaments, many of which worked without issues.Flexible PEI Bed:Printing adhesion is no longer an issue, thanks to the flexible PEI bed. Prints adhere firmly during the print and pop off effortlessly once the bed cools down. This eliminates the need for adhesives and tape, saving time and ensuring a clean finish. Getting the leveling correct for the bed is where most people have issues with the adhesion. You want the first layer of print to be compressed enough but not too much to where the filament backs up into the nozzle of the printer. It is definitely a learning curve for anyone who is getting into 3D printing.CR Touch Auto Leveling:The CR Touch auto leveling feature is a time-saver. No more manual bed leveling frustration. The printer automatically adjusts the bed level before each print, ensuring consistent first layers and reducing the chances of failed prints. This works 95% of the time and only sometimes requires fine adjustments to make sure everything is leveled. Overall, a great feature to have with a 3D printer.Upgraded Build Volume:The upgraded build volume of 220×220×270mm provides ample space for larger projects. This expanded capacity has opened up new possibilities for intricate, larger-scale prints. This is a gamechanger when wanting to orientate prints in a way to make them stronger based on how the layers of filament are. Many 3D printers are too small in this aspect.User-Friendly Experience:Setting up the Ender 3 S1 Pro was a breeze. Creality's clear instructions and labeled parts made assembly straightforward. The user interface is intuitive, with a responsive touchscreen that grants easy access to printer settings and preloaded models.Print Quality and Speed:The print quality is impressive for the cost of the printer. The printer consistently produces sharp, detailed prints with clean lines and minimal layer inconsistencies. The direct drive extruder contributes to smoother filament flow, resulting in more accurate prints. Moreover, the print speed remains impressive, striking a balance between efficiency and quality. From my years of experience with 3D printing, many imperfections in 3D prints are due to the inconsistencies with 3D filaments such as varying diameters, humidity trapped in the filament, or potentially the actual type of filament used.Room for Improvement:While the Ender 3 S1 Pro is undoubtedly a fantastic printer, there's always room for improvement. The inclusion of Wi-Fi connectivity or an Ethernet port would enhance remote control and monitoring capabilities. Additionally, more filament options directly from Creality would be a welcome addition.

Great- advanced features for the price
This printer has two features that are awesome and a bonus at this price. The first, which they call "auto leveling", [it's a misnomer- it doesn't actually level but rather it maps the surface contour] makes first layers a breeze and bed adhesion, especially on larger prints, not an issue. Periodically you ran an automated process wherein the print heads measures the standoff at 16 points and it then stores this information so that it can adjust your model data as it prints to ensure that the first layer conforms to the topography of the print surface. Absolutely amazing and very effective- the 6 prints I've done so far have gone perfectly. The second feature is a magnetically attached spring steel build surface which is very, very handy. It allows you to separate the print item from the surface by removing the steel sheet and flexing it, at which point the part pops off. It works great. This is so much better than the ridiculous plastic scraper you get with other inexpensive printers that don't work. I was to the point of designing "pry points" into my parts just so that I could use a prybar of some kind to remove my parts from the bed. Not a problem with this printer - just flex that sheet and the part is yours. Overall, very impressed with this printer. I've used low-cost printers for about 15 years, covering four different models, and this is, by far, the best product I've found for an FFD printer in the $500 range. Highly recommended.
