Struggles to drill through plywood!

I did some research and decided on this model, with a view to sanding and drilling tumblestones. It's light to hold, small and convenient to fit the hand. No proper instructions were enclosed but it was simple enough to set up. I found it very fiddly and annoying trying to get the drill/sander bits to stay in the chuck, but watched a YouTube clip which told me that you had to use a different collet (included) for different bits. The bits do tend to work loose, so be aware, but once they are secure it's a good little drill. I've managed to drill a couple of softer stones (2-5 Mohs) although for tougher ones like quartz (5+) you might need a more high-powered rotary tool. I'm hoping to use it for shaping and sanding stones too. Haven't tried the polishing bits yet.

This was a gift; arrived promptly and was well received; very impressed with the mini-drill bit set.
