You can pop the compass off
After checking visually and with a safety pin on the inside to see if the compass was molded into the shell or mounted, I used a dremel to take off the compass. To my surprise it wasn't. It's glued onto the shell and centered with the hole in the Pic. One good crank with some vice grips and you have a $20 Para-claw.I remelted the "ends" so they weren't as sharp and one wasn't melted so you can unravel it when in need.I love the product for both reasons above, be-it a coincidence or not, they actually cared about the end result of the product.1. They actually had to add a second step in manufacturing to make the compass pop off when they could of molded the black ring into the shell, so you get the option to take it off.2. When you make a cobra knot you get 4 ends, 3 are melted closed. When you look at it and decide you need the paracord, the spot you would start to unwind is the unmelted and tucked.3. The blade had some burrs but razor sharp, couple swipes on a ceramic sharpener and it's perfect.4. Scraped/sanded the protective coating off the "fire starter" and it's a fat spark, from standing you'll get an ember that'll last till the ground every once in a while, that's your winner.5. Whistle.... Surprisingly loud af.6. Not real paracord as expected like 99% of the paracord in America. Real paracord is silky and is incredibly limp and compacts extremely easy.Might seem a little obsesive, but these things were kindof important to me.Ways to improve, two tone options, black on the outside of the weave, colors in the middle like orange.Your welcome.

A neat little gimmick
Bought two of these bracelets after seeing them at a camping store. Immediately thought that it would be interesting to see if I could get any use out of it during a week of summer camp. The blade is fine and is sharp enough to open boxes, and the serrations on the back means you can strike the provided Ferro rod without harming the blade. The whistle is loud enough to get people’s attention, and the compass is accurate however I wouldn’t trust my life on it. Unfortunately one of the bracelets was too small so I took it apart and re made the band. The paracord seems to be true 550 and you do get a good amount of cord. The biggest pitfalls of this bracelet is the latch, with only one piece of plastic to hold the bracelet together you may find yourself stopping to re buckle your bracelet if you can catch it before it’s lost on the trails. While I haven’t cut my wrist yet, It did take some getting used to in order to latch the bracelet without fear of slitting my wrist open.

Not too bad I'm semi satisfied
Good survival band but safety clips keeping the band connected are flimsy and weak especially being that this one has a knife in it they should have a better clasp. If it ever comes loose or apart while doing activities you could easily cut your wrist clean open just be safe be smart

Compass too big and bulky, fragile
Disliked how big the compass is on this itemBut other only an ok productNoveltyI dropped it and the compass broke as well as the knife locking system broke offAgain it’s a novelty not a survival piece

Bad Compass. Good price.
Compass is an actual joke. Completely useless, just kinda spins around with no rhyme or reason. The plastic clip part is huge compared to the rest of the bracelet, but that's not surprising. The bracelet fits me fine, just if you are a larger person, you may have a hard time actually getting this thing on. Overall though, satisfied with the purchase for the price.

Love it!
Bought it as trial for a more expensive product, I decided to keep it and not buy the next one! Gave it a try as soon as it came through the mail, and it just works fine, a little tricky to lock back up with one hand, but nothing to be concerned about! Highly recomended for a easy carrying tool!
