Works as intended
Works as intended, swivel ball is a bit stiff at first but better than it being too loose. All in all, satisfied.

Almost TOO sturdy and stable!
The first thing you'll notice about this tablet mount is that it resembles the pictures on the website, but not on the box. The box shows that it's double-jointed -- it's not. Not only do you only get a single swivel point, but it's so close against the wall that you can't count on being to pivot the tablet being held much at all. It feels like there is some deceptive advertising going on there, despite the website being accurate.Once set up, this initially looks like an excellent wall mount for my tablet or Switch, and is exactly what I wanted to use for my gym-like area where I exercise in my home, to keep the screen at eye level when I am standing. The only functional downside I could find to this is that it takes quite a bit of effort to put slot the stand onto the base, and it fully takes two hands to take it off again. This is not due to the fact that you also need to depress a lever to detach the two pieces (although this does not help) but rather due to the fact that the plastic fits so snugly together and creates such strong friction when you try to separate them again. You can slot the clamp into the base in two different directions, and both stuck equally badly. With this in mind, I liberally applied beeswax (yay for Burt's Bees lip balm) to the connecting parts and it did have a positive effect in loosening the parts, but only when they were connected in one direction, not the other. The other direction sticks in its slots just as badly as before. So, if you plan on moving the clamp part out of the base bracket very often, you -must- sink this into solid wood like a study, or else it'll just yank right out of the drywall. If you're just going to leave the clamp bit up on the wall all of the time, you won't have any problems. If you can handle those points, then this does make a good, sturdy wall mount. Almost -too- sturdy!
