It works and is very simple
For what it is, it works. Android screen mirroring is as easy as plugging the device into the TV HDMI port, olugging the usb into its port and pressing the large round center button of the dervice till Android devices shows on your TV and select the device under screen share on your phone. Then simply pick what you want to watch on your phone, it immediately shows on your TV along with audio. That's the Pro part. The negative, the device disconnects on occasion and the audio will fade, when you use your phone to increase volume, it will resume, but very loud, so finding a happy medium is problematic. For what it is for convenience, it works and will be handy when traveling to watch streaming aps. However for the cost difference Roku would have been a better option even with the hassle of loading streaming aps and logging into each one.

Screen freezes
First of all, I learned this doesn't work at all on Pixel phones. The cast device will not show up on anything other than a Google product.Remember this when people talk about "upgrading" to the latest software and hardware...Rant aside, this thing is very easy to set up if your TV has a USB cable... Mine does not. I had to order a ten foot long USB to usb-C just to reach an adapter. The cord they supply you with is very short, maybe a foot long.My solution was to cast from my computer.Unfortunately the performance is not good.I've been watching for about an hour now and the screen cast runs smoothly about half the time the other half is filled with the screen freezing as the audio continues to play. This can last from a few seconds to about a minute which can makes it difficult to watch. The audio will crackle if it freezes hard enough. This happens at random, I should have just bought a long HDMI cable to reach the back of my computer... Or I guess a pixel compatible cast device.
