Doesn’t fit the Pendleton eSommerby
These nurses locks are a great idea with use alongside another lock. However, it doesn’t fit the Pendleton eSommerby electric bicycle!!Essentially, they attach to the frame of a standard ladies or gents bikes, over the rear wheel, the key is left in until it’s locked only then can the key be removed. These locks generally come as standard with a Dutch utility bikes, bakfeits or the very British Pashley.I purchased this to go on a Pendleton eSommerby. I’m sad to say this doesn’t fit. This is because the main seat post is bigger than on a standard shopper because the wires for the electrics run through it.We have fitted it to our sons mountain bike. But this was not a quick screw it in and go. The fixings that came with it are basically neither use nor ornament. Husband made 2 fixing brackets out of Alloy to attach the lock to his mountain bike. This was done this way because we are buying a proper pannier rack and proper mundguards for it so needed the holes on the frame for their intended purposes. The lock works well. I wouldn't recommend using this as your only lock. you still need a proper lock to attach your front wheel and frame of your bike to a sheffield stand but as a second lock to prevent your rear wheel getting stolen or making it as difficult as possible for a thief to profit from your bike then the lock works well. Of course most bikes are very light and this will not stop an organised thief in a van picking your bike up and throwing it in the back of a van and taking it somewhere to grind the lock off the bike. So always carry at least one other lock and/or a light wire to make it more difficult for potential thieves. So it looks like I’ll be stuck with carrying an extra heavy lock, but at least my son doesn't have to.

Added security
We have had a spate of bike thefts locally so despite already having a large combination lock I decided to add a frame lock. It was easy enough to fit although my rear bike rack and brakes got in the way of its normal position but it wasn't difficult to re-site it. It works well and is very easy to use. I don't understand why more people in the UK don't have them. I now feel much more confident when leaving my bike that even if someone were to cut the combination lock they would not be able to push or ride the bike away.

compared to the better known branded ones
I was hesitant about buying this particular model as, compared to the better known branded ones, it was pretty cheap - I was concerned that it might be obviously flimsy etc.I needn't have worried - it came on waste free packaging and looks and feels solid. It was also very, very easy to fit and works well as a 'cafe lock' - i.e. as a light touch lock while you nip into a shop for a coffee. Some reviewers have complained about the key not coming out when the lock is in the 'open' position - this is pretty standard for these types of locks and is part of the design - it means that the lock is always ready to be locked'n'left at a moment's notice.

Good quality and everyone should be using these
Easy to assemble, highly recommend if you sometimes forget or can’t be asked to use your bike chain. I’m from Holland and to find that I can purchase this in England at such a reasonable price is perfect! I use this to lock my bike when I’m at work or university. I do use this with a bike chain also for double the security

THESE ARE JUNK!!! Save ur cash🙄
The one star is that they are metal & not toffee. These are rubbish. The fixings are wrong. They don’t have universal mounts. They don’t come with instructions, just in a bag. The key has to stay in the lock whilst undone or riding so you may catch the key & snap it off with your shoes or boots. The only purpose would be for Pat Butchers earrings. I would strongly recommend you avoid these. I’m miffed I wasted the energy on these in lockdown.

Five Stars
great for non-expensive bikes. Will stop opportunists walking away with the bike

Did not fit my bike
This would it fit my bike. I could have worked it out if there were more and better illustration or more technical data. Had to send it back wasting everyone's time.
