It appears to be an OEM part - but it is not a direct replacement
Foremost, the regulator works well after you install it. But there are a few hoops that you have to jump through. To get the regulator to work in my Makita MAC5200, I had to move the plug that comes installed in the regulator body and move it to the other side. If you don't do this, then the tank and regulator pressure gauges will read the same. Secondly, you have to be very careful that as you tighten the fitting connection between the regulator and the aluminum manifold that you keep it the same overall length as the original regulator and manifold were. If the regulator/manifold assembly is longer or shorter, the two front machine screws that connect the manifold to the metal housing will not line if. If you get the length too far off, then the two brass air connectors that pass through the metal housing might line up with the aluminum manifold. It was one of those repairs that would have been a lot easier if there had been some instructions from Makita. It would be a breeze to do again, after dealing with these minor, though time-consuming issues.

Air pressure regulator that regulates air pressure!
Had to move the threaded inserts to match the original. Makes me wonder if this was an actual Makita part. Was less expensive than the website I usually buy brand name tool parts from so that’s a plus. Overall it works good and the price is fair. I would buy again.

These should be $15.00
Cost is rediculous for what it is. Works good though.
