Has a hard time with crushing ice, and blending full sized bananas. Kind of a pain to clean.

Disclaimer: When I received this product, the listing price was $18.99. It was a tremendous value. Still worth a shot if you're looking for a portable blender.Honestly, I was expecting a lot less out of this blender. The first thing I noticed was the material. It felt nice, durable, and had some heft to it. The keychain that it came with actually looked and felt a lot nicer than I imagined it would. I mean the keychain was top notch premium keychain itself.I also noticed that the blender provides LED light feedback based on how well the bottle is secured to the blending mechanism. It lights up red if it is not all the way secured and green for when it is tight and ready to go. Something I thought was really neat.I also liked how it come with a bottom lid. This way you are able to take off the blending mechanism (with the blender upside down) and screw on a solid base. You do not have to haul the blender around with you everywhere. This is nice if you are wanting to lose some weight, or make it smaller for carrying around.The features and functionality were very well thought out and considered in the making and design of this product. Keep in mind that it is not a high-power vitamix or blend-tec. So I would not load it up with tons of ice to make a thick shake. But it does perform well with some soft fruit and protein powder. Much nicer than having to shake everything up with a blender bottle.5/5.

Firstly, this blender is just gorgeous. It has a really sleek, geometric design to the cup and it lights up as it blends. That is so unique for a blender bottle and I think it’s very cool.The blending power itself is IMPRESSIVE. I have owned many blenders and blender bottles and was just blown away at how powerful this blender was, especially for being a portable blender. I make protein shakes in it mostly, but it’s also great for blending up frozen fruit and making homemade vegetable powders.All of that being said, I have concerns about cleaning it. Because the motor is built into the base and not into the bottom of the bottle itself, you have to be EXTREMELY careful when unscrewing the base from the bottle so you don’t drip your smoothie everywhere. I have tried so many times to unscrew the base without issues and it’s a hassle every single time. Especially because you have to turn the entire bottle upside down to take it off the motor, you also have to make sure the cap is screwed on tightly and closed before you try to replace the motor with the bottle’s bottom and it’s all just very frustrating and annoying. To me, this feels like a major design flaw. It also makes me very worried that I will spill my entire smoothie all over myself or my things, because it doesn’t feel secure.Additionally, trying to wash the blades and surrounding area is just difficult. You have to tilt the base a certain way so you don’t get water in the charging port, but still get an effective clean of the blades. It makes it cumbersome because you have to be more focused on not getting water and soap in the charging port than actually cleaning the thing. For that reason I deducted a star. Otherwise, I think it’s a beautiful bottle and blends powerfully. If something like that won’t bother you, I think you’ll love it, but it bothers me a lot and it has become one of my least favorite blending appliances I’ve ever owned.

This personal size portable blender is pretty powerful for being a personal size. I made sure to charge it first before use. You can tell how charged it is by the red and green lights on the base. The charging cord is pretty short and doesnt come with a block. When screwing it onto the base a red light comes on and flashes until it's screwed on all the way then it will be green letting you know it's ready to use. I have used my blender to make home made smoothies and used frozen fruit. This blender had no problem chopping it up. Has no problems with ice either. But make sure not to fill it past its 3/4 mark or it just doesn't work like it should. It comes with instructions and I recommend checking those before using so you know how to set each of the setting otherwise it can be a little confusing since it only has one button for everything. It comes with a part to screw on the bottom instead of the base. Cleaning is a little odd to do since you can't get any water in the charge port and the blades are on the base it can be done easily just be aware. I really love this portable blender it's the perfect size for one or 2 people. Makes great milkshakes also.
