Tragic, touching, and heartwarming
I began reading the story of Finley when I registered with Stillbirthday to become a Birth and Bereavement Doula. I honestly had no idea what to expect.I laughed and cried, and cried, and cried.I lost my first child at just about 12 weeks gestation and it was like I had been hit by a bus. I can't begin to imagine what Mel and Baz have gone through and I am so very sorry for you your loss.I have had two children since my angel baby. I have become a Childbirth Educator and Lactation Counselor; working with teens and adults.I am so thankful for Mel's courage to write her story because it provided me with another perspective. It also helped to read what Mel wanted to hear or wished she would have heard, done, or experienced. This will help me to serve those suffering a loss. I'm not sure I would have counseled the same had I not read this book.
