The camera fits inside with room to spare, even with the wrist strap on the inside. There seems to be plenty of padding. The zippered compartment has plenty of room for a spare battery and memory card, or even two of each. It's easy to clip the carabiner to the wrist strap of the camera, so it won't get lost while using the camera. It's quite well made, and the belt loop appears to be there to stay.
