I’m used to those puny little SG90 servos (the little blue plastic ones), and these MG996R servos are a significant upgrade in power, torque, and size! These deliver a hefty 130 inch-ounces of torque at 4.8V, compared to the miniscule 25 inch-ounces of torque for the little SG90. These MG996R servos also move about 50% faster than the little SG90s. I have several small robotics projects where I used an SG90 or MG90 and they just aren’t strong enough. these MG996R servos will be a great upgrade.However, remember that these servos are quite a bit bigger, which comes with that extra power. I included a photo of the size difference, if that helps anyone. Also, out of the 4 servos, one appeared to be leaking some kind of oil or lubricant. I wiped it off and it didn’t leak anymore, so I’m assuming its not a problem. I included a picture of that too. These servos are pretty nice, and are priced about right, so they deserve 5 stars.

These come with all the accessories needed to connect the servos to what you are trying to trigger. Will come in handy in my droid build.

The media could not be loaded.  These servos come supplied with mounting hardware and control horns. You are provided a good variety of horns to choose from. I usually run in my servos before usage and evaluate them. You can see from the video I included that the servo functions well and is a pretty precise unit. The movements are not course and miss no steps. I had planned to use this servo with my Traxxas 1/18 scale rig, but if you look at the photos you can see that the servo spindle is too small for a standard metal control horn. The diameter of the mount on the servo is approximately 4.6mm. If you need decent micro servos these should work well.
