I think a review criticized this for having plastic blades, but think about it, are they going to be sagging down after 2 or 3 years like the pressed paperboard blades? This is a definite improvement over the kind that comes on literally every other ceiling fan besides the ones rated for outdoor use. That being said, another reviewer stated the light is only 1 color; it is not; it has a warm, cool, and bright setting. The light output is the same between modes, but a definite difference in the temperature. I replaced a 5 blade 52 inch fan with this, and this one puts out more air, id say probably 50% more easily. The remote works well, and there is no need to have switched power for this unit. This is lighter, brighter, puts out more air, and is easier than reaching over the table to pull the chain to change fan speeds(only 3 previous). After installation, no balancing was required even though this comes with a kit to do it with.Installation was a piece of cake as well, the unit is very light compared to the old, and only a few wires and screws to attach and your done, 10 minutes if you are adept, 20 if you need to take your time. This is easily a 100% improvement over my last fan. I bought a second just in case I get the urge to change out another fan in the house!

Love the looks and functions of fan but light is super, super bright and blinding plus does not dim. Otherwise it would be a 5 star product!

Excellent price and service

I bought 4 of these fans and they work nicely HOWEVER, the one I installed in our living room suddenly dropped out of it's casing while it was running and the blades struck me in the head as I was standing under it! The electric motor suspension tube unscrewed itself during the "reverse direction" process I had just started from the remote (pic #1). I wanted to see how much airflow was being created from my new fan so I pushed the 'reverse direction' button on the remote and walked over and stood beneath it. Then it unscrewed itself and fell on me. It continued to spin, suspended by its electrical wires, until the wires were ripped out of the factory connections. There were allot of sparks, and I live in Colorado where the fire hazard is HIGH, to say the least. I connected the "safety cable" per the instructions HOWEVER, that safety cable only prevent the entire unit from falling from the ceiling, it does not stop the motor, the heaviest and most dangerous, spinning, part from falling out of the impudently secured motor housing! Additionally, it snapped the pins off of the control module (pic #4).Once the chaos was over, I took these pics and uninstalled it. It appeared the manufacturers "quality control" people completely missed this fan. The locking collet set screws were loose and there was no thread locking compound on the motor support pipe threads whatsoever. There weren't even any scars in the pipe threads from the locking "set" screws; they were never tightened!Now, as I am attempting to get resolution from Amazon, I cannot get past the "AI" screener and their pre-canned answers. So, avoidance from Amazon.Alright then, I received an injury from this fan. This isn't over. I'm looking for consumer products injury attorney now. Anybody know one?

Great replacement for a 20 year old bedroom ceiling fan. Works well and is very quite.

This is an excellent ceiling fan with versatile looks. The remote operation is really nice and simple and no balance issues with the blade. And, it's quiet.

Overall the fan is ok. The blades are plastic, you pretty much have to use the remote which is good for ease of installation and bad for being able to wire up traditional wall switches. It looks nice, and on a low setting the fan is great, though I haven’t figured out how to balance it to not wobble like crazy above 3. The mounting is somewhat weak compared to traditional in ceiling installations. It has 2 small screws holding the bracket to the joist, i’ll probably replace them with larger screws at very least. My biggest complaint is that the light is somewhat harsh and the diffuser doesn’t cast any light toward the ceiling due to its low profile so in my office where the walls are a light tan and the cieling is white it makes the room feel smaller. I just wish the diffuser had more of a cylindrical profile so it would allow more light to cast upward. The blades hang lower than a traditional style fan so it isn’t ideal for a low ceiling.

Liked the simple color and design, easy installation(you need 2 people since the motor is pretty heavy)3 colors of light(yellow, white, blue) controlled with a remote control. I installed it in my master bedroom.Satisfied with its simplicity. The advertised image is accurate.

These fans look good and move air well installing them was not hard, especially with the help of one more person. The base attaches to the roof very securely, so there is no wobbling at least not on either of the two that I got. The major problem with them is the light cover, which has a tendency to fall off. I doubt it is an isolated issue since it happened on both of the ones I got.
