Coldbreak 12.5' Wort Chiller, 3/8", 100% Pure USA Copper, 8' Vinyl Tubing, Heavy-Duty Garden Hose Fitting, Homebrewing

I'm new to brewing and after using an ice bath to cool my first 5 gallon batch I decided that there must be a better way. This chiller had the right price so I decided to give it a try and used it for my second batch.Pros: Price and it works, cooled the wort in under 15 minutes. Easy to use, I connected to a sink faucet - I already had an adapter.Cons: It leaked as delivered but I tested it first and tightened the clamps which fixed the issue.

I don't know hownit is taking people so long to cool their beer... I cooled 5.5 gallons from boiling to 75 degrees in no more than 10 minutes... Maybe they need to turn up the flow or something. I also ran the water coming out of the cooler onto the outside of the kettle to speed things up a bit maybe this was the big difference I had? I also live in Portland so maybe my ground water is colder or something? I don't know... I have the 12.5 foot copper and it does a great job. The hose clamps needed a couple turns on arrival other than that, happy with my purchase.

Good deal on this one. This immersion chiller is smaller than others but it does a good job. I boil 6.5 gal in a 12 gal kettle and cool it with this chiller and a 20lb bag of ice in a 20gal tub from walmart. I can cool 5 gal of wort in 15-20minutes. At least twice as fast as solely using an ice bath.

Works great, cools wort quickly. Previous reviews I read complained leaking at the hose connections, I think the manufacturers heard because the tubing is slipped well onto the copper and clamped tight. No complaints.

I was worried that this wort chiller would be too small to be effective, but it is great! Cooled my wort in about 5 minutes and is solidly constructed.

Works awesome, works well for me. I use it for about 2.5 gallons (when using extracts for 5 gal brews) and 1.5 gallon brews. 1.5 gallon takes about 25 min to get to 80 degrees, and takes about 30-35 min for the larger 2.5 ish brews.If you want to hook it up to your sink, you will need an adapter, I got one from a brew shop online.Wish I had gotten one of these once I knew I was likely going to keep brewing. (also recommend one of the douche like sanitizer bottle sprayers, as well as a bottle tree, totally worth it!)

First time I used it it worked great, but had to bring my kettle out near the spigot.The second time it leaked hose water into my wort (beer). I might not have been careful enough but once I used a higher quality chiller I realized this one is not a great design.I highly recommend getting one with welded fittings instead of just tube clamps

Used a cooler with water and ice, also used a fish tank pump, in less than 15 minutes temp was in 68 degrees on a hot summer day

Worked perfectly without issue. Great for cooling a 5 gallon batch of wort in short order.

This is the biggest improvement I've made in my homebrewing adventures It's great how fast you can chill wort with this. 5 gallons in 15 minutes. Had to tighten the hose clamps a bit during a test run, but other than that, it's worked great for 4 batches. No complaints here! And yes, I'd definitely recommend!

Appears to be good quality for a good price. I knocked off one star cause it's listed as 3/8 inch vinyl tubing, but it's really 1/2 inch. I'll be keeping it, but I ordered wrong quick connects due to this error.
