This arrived on time but it started making a high-pitch whistling sound as soon as I plugged it in. I contacted the manufacturer at their hotmail email address and have not received a response so I'm returning it.

This is working very well for my Mac. It's a little bulkier than the original b/c of the 2 separate cords and the little box thing that connects them in the middle. But the box thing has an extra usb charging port, which is nice. It does make a quiet humming noise sometimes when I'm using my Mac. But I don't feel the need to spend extra money for all the Mac parts all the time. If you travel a lot, you might find this charger a little bulky and annoying. But if you mostly use it at home it should be fine.

It does charge our MacBook Air. My concern is the whining noise it makes while charging. It sounds like it almost overwhelms the resistors. I’m aging myself a bit with this example, but it reminds me of the noise a disposable camera makes when you charge the flash. It works, just proceed with caution.

Charger worked fine for a few months, but then started having problems connecting - a hassle, but would still work with some fiddling. Failed completely within 6 months. At least part of the problem is a bad connection between the 120V. power cord and charger, which produces electric arcing loud enough to be heard (and seen in a dark environment). High potential to start a fire.

This charges a 2011 MacBook Air. It has worked well for the past week or so at least. It cost significantly less than 80 bucks

Lasted only 7 months with light use. Now its dead, what a waste.

Worked for one week then died.
