Shut the box game
This game is fun and can be quick. The board overall is well made with 6 sides allowing up to 6 players. The felt on the bottom of the board allows you to slide it around a table to each player to play. It comes with lots of dice! Two extra sets then matching colors for 5 of the 6 colors. The directions were clear although we prefer to play with our levers up in the starting position and shut them down as we role, the directions state the opposite which is not a big deal. Some of the levers stick when raising or lowering and some were actually completely stuck together and needed to be forced apart. Once apart, they worked as needed. A few of the numbers on the red levers are worn off in areas, not sure if they will wear more over time. But none of these things takes away from the fun of the game. I like the variations suggested and it's a great game to leave on a table to play alone or with a group.

So fun
Love all of the dice options that came with the game. Great quality and great game to play with friends and family.

Poor quality.
The metal bars that hold the flip tabs keep coming out of the wood. It’s not fitted properly and I would not recommend purchasing it.

It is okay…no box for storage. Wouldn’t purchase again
The flip pegs are thinner than expected, which causes you to knocked over neighboring pegs easily. The box it arrived in is supposed to be the storage box (really tacky). We received 3 sets of white wooden dice that don’t have a matching color on the board. The wooden dice do not roll as nicely as the plastic dice.I would recommend another brand.

Fun for all ages!
This game is easy to figure out and fun for my wife and I and our 11 and 12 year-old boys. We have played before with slightly varying rules but the suggested rules that come with the game are fun. One challenging variation they suggest is standard for another version of the game we have played. That would be the variation where you are only allowed to shut two numbers at a time maximum. It also instructs you to flip all the tiles down to start and they get flipped up as you "shut" each one. We tend to play the opposite where we flip everything up to start and then flip them down as we shut them. Not sure why but somehow it feels more natural...!Another variation we have heard from others is that if there is a tie at any point then the round starts over no matter who has what for points and no matter whomever might have taken their turn or not. This would likely be more interesting if there is potentially money involved... It was fun when we were playing for some quarters!!From side to opposite side the board measures approximately 13 3/4" and from point to opposite point it's approximately 15 1/2". The space in the middle where you roll the dice is about 8 3/4" side to side. One odd thing about the game I received is it has 5 sets of 2 dice colored to roughly match 5 of the tiles sets. Then for some unknown reason there were 6 white dice; one of which was made from wood and not plastic like the other 5 white dice and all the rest of the colored dice. In my case, we just use two of the plastic white dice to "match up" with one of the light blue sets of tiles and away we go. Not huge deal just odd.Overall the box is made fairly cheaply. It's not great craftsmanship in my opinion (some of the wood pieces are not the right length and the angles are not perfect, there are two washers between tiles in a couple spots instead of one like all the others - not sure why, there was a bubble in the felt in the middle when we got it that smoothed out with a little massaging with my fingers, the white dice and the odd wood dice, there is some debris left over on the edge of the hole where the rod that holds the tiles gets inserted, there's a second hole next to the rod in one spot....) but it's also perfectly serviceable and everything functions exactly as it should. There are no sharp edges and everything appears to be sanded so we won't get ay slivers. We have a lot of fun with it.

So many ways to play
Actually, my kids made up their own rules and it is a super fun game. We have not looked at the rules yet. First my kids thought it was a Yahtzee spin-off and then they created an entirely different game. This is actual a pretty creative game set with so many options. My favorite part of it is that you can play by yourself or with six players. I'm sure when we follow the rules, it will be even more fun. We are going off the grid, kind of like all the rogue ways one can play Uno. This is a fun party game for family or for adults.

A fun game with easy rules
We've used a 2-person version of this game with our homeschoolers for years. The 6-person version is more fun! This particular brand is nicely colored - however, the workmanship is a bit shoddy (the painted levers were stuck together in multiple places because nobody let the paint dry first!). Nothing insurmountable, we were able to pry the levers apart and then use it just fine.
