Vanilla Space Ice Kream

Nothing like freeze dried ice cream. The texture is gritty and closer to a nearly puréed coconut macaroon. Strong coconut flavor in the vanilla and the strawberry was a little bitter. Gross and overpriced.

I really like these and it's been difficult for me to not eat the whole pack in one sitting. They have a slightly salty taste in addition to being sweet, but they have that delightful crunch of freeze-dried ice cream and a creamy texture. I also can definitely taste some nuttiness, and wouldn't mistake them for "real" space ice cream (I tried the vanilla, perhaps the strawberry flavor helps cover the cashew taste a bit?), but I like it. I found out several months ago that I can no longer eat dairy products, and astronaut ice cream has always been a favorite special snack for camping, so this was a great find. I'll definitely buy some more. Would love to see a chocolate flavor.

Four of us each tried one piece of this product, and no one wanted a second piece. The flavor was terrible. Of note, my daughter loves space ice cream, but spit this out and rinsed her mouth out, rather than swallowing her piece, because she thought it tasted so bad. Very disappointing, particularly given the price. But, even if this item were free, we wouldn’t eat it. In fact, I wasn’t even able to give the bag away, because no one wanted it.

Bought this by accident, I didn't even read it's vegan. I was eating this last night, it had the similar texture as freeze dried ice cream, but was gritty, I thought it might have been mung beans... and I read it's cashews, never the less it's actually quite good and tasty. I bought the strawberry one too, I'll give it my mother and see if she likes it.

used this for my space lesson in preschool. Some students loved it and thought it was marshmellows. I have had space ice cream before and always found it sooo gross but this was actually good and edible. I would recommend this to anyone who wants space ice cream.

Tried this product because I underestimated both the amount in the bag, and how nasty something labeled 'organic' would taste. Threw out the bag after two morsels as they tasted like chemical-flavored styrofoam and had a gross, grainy texture. I'm not fussed about organic, vegan, or non-gmo type stuff, and the flavor of these things certainly isn't going to convert me any time soon. I guess I can't achieve my dreams of ordering just a single portion of the space food of my childhood after all.

I work for UPS and i tracked it the whole time. It seemed it arrived late to the shipper so instead of letting it be late to me, it looks as they even LOST money to get it there to me on time with next day air. This is a company that genuinely cares about its customers. As far as the product. This vegan freeze dried ice cream was AMAZING! I do recommend (ps im not even vegan)

I like freeze dried ice cream but this was bad. Very horrible taste and texture.
