Very pleased with this item, as much cheaper than satnavs branded mat, and better adhesion for sat nav base.Branded item kept losing it's hold on sat nav.

I got this to use in my Peugeot, where mounting it on the windscreen places the satnav out of reach without a considerable stretch, which is not ideal when driving. The dash has a large, relatively flat portion just to the left of the instrument binnacle. The beanbag mount sits there nicely and places my 6" TomTom ideally for viewing and within reasonable reach. The TomTom suction mount sticks firmly to the plastic base and once placed in position on the dash, it does not move. I have now done several long trips with it there and have been very pleased. The only issue I have had is that the satnav sometimes vibrates noticeably, although not distractingly so. This is, however, probably less to do with the mount than it is to do with the vehicle and the road and motorway surfaces. There are, of course, also no marks on the windscreen to advertise the possible presence of a satnav and I just slip it under the seat or take it inside when I am not using it. Overall, for my purposes, this works really well and was a great buy.

I was amazed by security of this dash board mount to hold my 6" TomTom in place. No movement even when going over several large speed bumps and uneven road surfaces in a small car. Used without dash hook supplied. Would highly recommend it.

Sent back to Amazon for refund as not compatible with Tom- Tom 5 inch 2nd generation
