Comfortable to use and Powerful
This is regarding the HOOP LG brand Monocular;I own several different binoculars, but this is my first monocular telescope. Without any "monocular" experience, I'm still very impressed with how easy this monocular was to use. The grip is comfortable and the dials are positioned well for my hand and make it easy to use. As a novice user, I mainly got this for bird watching with family and to have on hand for sightseeing and I am very glad I got this HOOP LG Monocular! I did do research on price vs features and this was easily within, and sometimes a better deal, then most of the competition in the feature set. I did not use this at night for stargazing yet, but will update if it performs different compared to other family's telescopes. The only negative I can think of is the smartphone holder. It's doable, but the user will definitely have to fine tune the adjustments on the adapter just right depending on your phone model and size, but that might be too much work for most people. Other than that, great telescope and will probably get this as a gift for the next holiday season! I subtract only one star because the phone adapter is not really universal, still it is a great product and I recommend it!

Crystal Clear View
For the price this is a really nice product, it is evenly balanced when held in your hand within the strap making it very easily able to reach all the controls with just two fingers. The knob that your index finger rests on controls the basic zoom in and out function, there is a secondary zoom accessible by your thumb that will magnify what you are looking at even further. At the end of the scope there is an additional piece that will rotate out and lock to make viewing easier based on how close to your eye you intend on looking through the scope. You must be at least 20 feet away from an object to get it to focus, I was able to zoom in on the side of a mountain 10 miles away and get a close enough view to see anything walking around. As a test I took this outside my house and zoomed in on a stop sign approx. 600 ft away and was able to center the sign in the middle of my view and legibly read it's wording.Product Dimensions. (Main Assembly) 8.25" Long x 2.5" Wide. (Front Lens) 55mm Width. (Rear Lens) 13mm Width. This kit includes a nice velvet bag for safely storing this scope in the back of a vehicle free from scratching. An additional phone mount and tripod is included for storing photo's and video's of your explorations.

Decent monocular
for less than $30 I was not expecting much and I was pleasantly surprised by the monocular itself. the accessories that came with the monocular could have just been left out as they are nearly unusable. The tripod is so flimsy it cannot hardly hold the monocular up and the hone attachment feels like its going to break at any moment. I would happily paid twice as much for a decent set of accessories to be included with the monocular vs these. That being said the monocular is easy to use and has a pretty clear view. The focus moves smoothly as does the magnification. The housing is some high density plastic with a rubbery kid of coating on the exterior. the monocular feels decent in the hand while not being very heavy at all. overall for the money its not bad, but I would look for some better accessories at the same time.

Okay for the price
I got this for an entry level scope for my kids to learn to use. You have to adjust the magnification and the focus so it takes a bit to get used. It’s a bit big for the amount of magnification you get. For the price it is okay but would get if you want a serious monoculture.

not a 100mm monocular, focus issues
received a 50mm monocular. this is much much smaller than advertised. Think a pizza that 10 inches across vs 20 inches.cannot achieve a decent focus at any place in the zoom range.skip this purchase

80X100 monocular kit is nice for the price.
I bought this for myself, it seemed like a great high powered monocular for a good price. Out of the box I noticed the objective lens looked smaller than the advertised 100mm and I measured it at only 55mm usable diameter. To be totally fair, I do see that the fine print in the ad does say the lens is “about” 60mm. I took it outside to check it out and as others have mentioned, the magnification adjustment is marked backwards, not a deal breaker but doesn’t exude high quality either. The magnification is high enough that you really do need a tripod for photography, a tabletop one is included but the scope also fits my floor standing camera tripod. For the price this is actually an OK monocular but I’m going to gift it to our grandkids, I’m sure they’ll love it and learn with it too!

Very Nice Quality
These telescope monoculars feel very high quality, it's made with both glass and plastic and is nice and solid. It comes with a phone tripod to stick to your phone so you can take photos of the moon. Very cool.Definitely gift-worthy!

All-in-all, a very good deal.
In sufficient daylight, this monocular does a nice job of bringing you closer to a distant object. The tripod and phone holder are of good quality and work well. It's important to note that the tripod is necessary for taking pictures because it is nearly impossible to hold the monocular steady enough for photography. It also takes some doing to line up your phone's camera lens to the correct spot of the eye piece, but once you achieve that, you can get some decent pictures (see pics). While I prefer the wider field of vision offered by my old Bushnell binoculars, this monocular is much smaller and lighter making it a good choice when backpacking or anytime you want to keep weight and bulk to a minimum. If you're a bird watcher with a backyard bird feeder (and cell phone), you should give this inexpensive monocular package some consideration.
