Purple Majesty - Sage, Cedar, and French Lavender - 9 Inch Smudge Stick From Native Scents

I purchased this smudge stick two months ago, and still have I half of it left! Smells great, and a nice size bundle for the value. A small disclaimer- it can be a little hard to light (which is actually good, since this is probably why it lasts so long), so you will likely need to use a stovetop flame, or torch lighter. Also, be sure not to leave unattended! Once you get it burning good, it is best to extinguish the lit end with a little bit of water (this wont affect the integrity of the stick, just be sure to let it dry before re-lighting. A nice little find!

Oh she does so well with these. I’ve been burning bundles since 1987 at age 17 and know high quality sage. From going to Sweat Lodges in the desert to running my own in Montana this is just fragrant and pure. The herbs are probably the cleanest I’ve had or seen aside from what I’ve bundled myself over the years. Will definitely buy from her again.

I live in an apartment, so I can't burn straight-up white sage because it'll smell like weed, but burning this was wonderful. The cedar was the strongest scent, to me anyway, and I love cedar smell. I used it to smoke cleanse my room for the New Year, and ever since, my room has had a wonderfully positive feel. Like many smoke-cleansing bundles, I barely had to burn any of it to get a good strong smell. Highly recommended, spiritually powerful, lasts forever, and a lovely scent.

Smells great IF you can keep it going - which I can't! I'm constantly having to re-light it and it has to be burning hot before it even catches. I've already gone through one lighter trying to use it - thinking of getting a mini torch to see if that works better, which I doubt. It's a good size and will last a very long time because it won't stay smoldering!

This came in so fresh that I just hate to use it right off. The cedar and lavender smell heavenly while the sage kind of balances it out. This is also very large and I could swear was put together just before shipping. Well packed herbs and flowers that are not loose and going to fall out the minute you take it out of it's bag. I will most certainly be buying from this vendor again. Extremely happy customer here and highly recommend. Remember the Autumn Solstice is right around the corner.

I loved the presentation, packaging, and smell of my smudge stick until I lit it... then I noticed that it smelled of cigarettes being burned in my house. I've never burnt cedar or lavender so I'm unsure of this being what to expect but I was sincerely disappointed after cleansing my house. I have not used it again and I'm a daily cleanser.

It is a nice size and is very well made. It smells divine and worked perfectly for my smudging/protection/banishing ritual. I only have ONE complaint: it absolutely REFUSED to stay lit. I have worked with smudge sticks plenty in the past and never had any issues. For whatever reason, this smudge stick did not want to light. Once it would light, it would simply stop smoldering after a few minutes and didn't want to relight. I had to resort to using a lighter (which I have NEVER done before) and it still wasn't very helpful but at least I wasn't wasting match sticks.

This is the mother of all smudge sticks - it's going to last you a while!Take the advice of some other reviewers: this thing arrives in a very fresh state, so it might behoove you to pop it in the oven on low or let it dry out for a few days prior to lighting.I don't know if it was just me, or if this is an intended side-effect of the smudging, but I had an abundance of really positive energy after I performed a cleansing in my house. Must be doing something right!
