Really pretty nice "Lego" clone Model, fairly accurate and good looking, many unique bricks
This was a plane that I'd built as a model years ago, and now have in recreated form in this nice Lego Clone kit. It's kinda unique as many of the parts are still on sprues and you have to cut them off; I use my Godhand sprue cutter's (green handled in photo) which has done this job perfectly for me for quite some time. The set is a really straight forward build, quite easy, and the bricks lock nicely, if somewhat tight. The only two problems in assembly were the canopy, which required some real force and was easiest starting from the front and forcing it in place (took me several attempts to figure out, and it DOES require much force to pop in place), and the wheels that are quite loose (but VERY easily fixable as you only need to spread the split-pin with a flat screwdriver or hobby knife to widen them slightly, then they stay on perfectly and spin well... I've had the same issue with LEGO's ones also time to time). There are decals, to place, the right side one has the star upside down if you don't separate the insignia from the US Air Force lettering (in the insignia the center star point always points UP or forward!).In a nice box with stickered picture this would make a very nice gift for someone that loves brick building and/or planes. At the price it's great as it's a ton of specialty parts in black (for someone that does MOC's, black is a great builders color, especially for my trains). It also has a unique tool, a complete parts list, and this one had a few extra parts (4 shown in photo).Oddly there are 2 MISTAKES in the Amazon pictures show for the ad. 1) The RUDDERS lean inward (not outward as pictured, but are correct in/on manual) and 2) The right side insignia star is upside down (like stated to correct you must separate it from the USAIRFORCE lettering.) I'm not sure about the wing marking either as I couldn't find them in most of pictures, but I put mine as to my best guess.I like it, I recommend it with out reservations. It displays nicely on top of my computer tower. I always thought it was one of the most graceful and beautiful planes, like the SST and for me the original 707.The GOOD: Decent quality bricks that fit well, albeit perhaps a bit tightly Complete with parts list, easy to follow manual & unique tool (4 extra bricks as pictured) Fairly accurate portrayal of plane at 1:74 scale Nice box with picture of model (though with wrong rudder placement) Good price for nice plane modelThe IFFY: Many parts need to be cut off sprues with a good sprue cutter (like a plastic model kit) Mistake in insignia placementThe BAD: Canopy placement needs some major force and finesse

A nice looking set, good value for the money
This is a nice brick version of an SR-71. Lots of custom parts on 2 big sprues (you'll need flush cutters). While it is a pretty simple kit/set, it's a pretty fun build an yields a a very nice looking SR-71.Recommended.

Ooo sexy!! C-can I say that..? Lol
I’m in looove!!!!The SR-71 is seriously one of the most gorgeous planes EVER and now I have a mini one..!!!!! a very, very mini one! ^-^I really liked this kit! I’ve done 30 building block kits and counting but this is the first where the main fancy pieces are on sprues (other block kits have the cups/plates/silverware and other tiny pieces on the sprue instead) but this one is like a block/plastic model combo!I found that a really nice break from the usual!!I used a precision knife (I forgot it’s name, picture #2) to help fully or semi-detach some of them but on others I twisted them off. some twisted off surprisingly cleanly but some I gently had to remove the burrs with the blade.Pieces snap together easily. Not AS easy as some other kits but since I will be ‘flying’ this around the house like a child it’s probably better it needed a little more pressure than some to assemble. The only difficulty I had was putting the wheels on the tires. Ugh, fingers hurt. Used my shirt as a buffer between the wheels and my skin.the stickers I used reluctantly.I like the look of it all-black-in-its-stealthy-glory but now that I have them on, I like it too. :)Took me a little longer about 1.5-hours. because the “place here” arrows were not straight forward for me in 2 places…and the disassembly process began.Great, fast kit to assemble!! Would absolutely buy another kit from this brand I hear the F/A 18 calling my name.

Nice hobby to build these jets
It was easy enough to put together but the pieces seemed cheaply made which made it not as nice looking. I prefer heavier materials when building models like these.Overall wouldn't recommend this particular model for this price point.I hope this review is helpful!

Limited Assembly Instructions & Flimsy Plastic Parts
When looking for a building block model, I am looking for quality blocks to assemble. This kit was the opposite. This is more of a "punch out the parts" and pray they attach well. There are some blocks to assemble, but mostly these plastic piences. When I started to work with this kit, I used a small knife to make sure the parts were detached well from the large plastic parts frame. I did not want any barbs hanging. Then when I went to put the parts together, they were so flimsy that they would not hold due to bending. I feel that this model may need glue just to keep the parts in place. The instructions are very, very limited and I felt they were not easy to follow. I started this build, but due to my frustration I have not continued working on it. This one will be going in storage because I cannot complete it efficently. Very Disappointed.

Beautiful Model
This model is gorgeous. It instantly improves any plane collection you have. I will say though that the wheels look a little silly and the model is a little high off the ground. Other than that this model is perfect. This set makes the perfect gift for any military plane enjoyer.
