Fun little build
This set was a neat mix between a model kit and a lego like building set. Some parts need to be separated from the moving sprees like a model kit to be attached to a lego like frame. Making for a nice completed model, maybe buying their PBY Catalina model next.

Not name brand, but just as solid
I don't normally get excited about legos, but this kit made me check the tracker until it was delivered. I am a big fan of aviation. I am a nerd for WW1/WW2 airplanes. The P-51 mustang is a favorite of mine.I really enjoyed putting this project together. It is sitting nicely next to my SR-71 Blackbird and my Deadpool Lego manAt $30, this is a decent deal. I would gladly spend that again for this.I had my nephew (6yrs) help me with it. They had as much fun as any other lego build.

Reasonably well designed LEGO compatible military airplane set
The media could not be loaded. The LEGO Group doesn't sell military vehicles and aircraft so anyone in the market for such buildable products has to look to third parties. How does this LEGO compatible set fare? Pretty well! The final build does resemble a P-51 Mustang in the pictures I looked at so it's a success on that front. This set has only 258 pieces but you wouldn't know it from the final size of the build. For the most part the core of the build uses pieces that should be familiar to LEGO fans but also a few pieces not in the current LEGO catalog. Some of the survey exterior of the airplane makes use of custom moulds to give the airplane its familiar shape. Most of the LEGO compatible pieces are packed loosely in plastic bags but some, including the custom moulded pieces are packed on sprue and need to be snapped off. This is the first time we have encountered a building blocks set packaged in this way. While interesting, the result is some pieces have more sprue marks than their LEGO equivalents have mould injection points. The pieces overall have very high quality and consistent clutch power like authentic LEGO pieces. These LEGO compatible pieces have come a long way.The build is fairly straightforward and the end result is a very sturdy airplane that can be swooshed around with one hand gripping the rear half of the airplane. Avoid gripping by the tail as that is the weakest point of the build. Gripping just behind the cockpit works well.Speaking of the cockpit, while there is a spot that looks like it could fit a minifigure, it doesn't, nor does the set come with a minifigure. However, the torso of a LEGO minifigure will fit inside, leaning back a bit. It's too bad the design of the cockpit did not take into account the ability to put in a full minifigure. The two payloads on the wing are held on with four studs each, which is strong enough for swooshing but also easy enough to "drop" them on imaginary targets. The nose and propeller components are inserted into the body using an axle/pin connector. The LEGO compatible piece used in this set is the friction version of the connector and results in the propeller not spinning very well. We replaced this piece with authentic LEGO piece 65249, a version whose pin has no friction ridges and allows the propeller to spin much more freely. This frictionless version is what this set should have come with for a better play experience. In addition to the propeller, the elevators and rudder are the only other movable pieces on the airplane. The landing gear does not fold up but a creative LEGO builder can probably modify the design to address this. There is a sizable sticker sheet that comes with the set. Like any stickers they are optional but applying them really enhances the finished build. My only issue with the stickers is the larger ones cover more than one piece, which makes taking this set apart and rebuilding it rather difficult without damaging the stickers. The finished airplane has a 17" wingspan and measures 14.5" from nose to tail. It weighs in at just over 14oz.Overall this is a good set, definitely better than what I was expecting.

👍🏻Nice Build of a Cool P-51 Mustang Fighter Plane🛩
This is an 258 Piece Air Force Series P-51 Military Mustang Fighter Plane Building Block Set. Arrived quickly, in good condition with all pieces included. Appears to be high quality materials with an eye for detail. My son really enjoyed putting this block-set plane together. He currently has it on his dresser. In fact, this is a good set & he has requested more like it. It does look really cool. Isn’t really small either. It includes well laid out instructions with numerous separate labeled packages for easy installation. Also has several decals for added detail. The colors are nice & rich too. I’ve attached some pictures. This would also make for a great gift! Overall, I am very happy with this Fighter Plane Building Block Set.👍🏻258 Piece Building Block SetAir Force Series P-51 Military Plane - 5.3” High - 14.7” Length - 17” WideInstruction Book(let) IncludedSeparator ToolEasy To Assemble🌟Highly Recommend🌟❤️🔥Shalom…

Weird Scale Model/Lego Hybrid
This actually turned out to be a unique and fun build. My oldest son was a diehard Lego fan who abhorred Lego knockoffs. But eventually he graduated to scale modeling and has softened to where he will build non Lego building blocks under specific situations. This was the case when he came back for a weekend and saw this box. We opened it and were totally surprised to see the parts attached to sprues like a scale model. Definitely perked his interest. The model is a very decent Mustang, taking advantage of a lot of custom forms to make a great and authentic shape. The pieces fit well and we were able to keep sprue marks to a minimum. Once finished it was a very satisfying build and model. Kudos to this company, they won over a pretty fussy builder.

Surprisingly great
This was a smaller set and the pieces felt cheap so I wasn’t expecting much, however it turned out awesome. The plane is a great size and is actually sturdy. It looks really cool and is a great display piece.

Quick, good looking build
I only have two other airplane builds in my collection so I jumped at the chance to add another. The Artorbricks Air Force Series P-51 Mustang is a nice build. Now, I was surprised when I opened the box and found that half the parts were standard building blocks and the other half were on frames like a model kit. Getting the parts loose from the frames is easy but you will have to clean up some sharp parts where they were connected. All of the parts are Lego compatible and went together easily. The manual is easy to follow. The entire build took me under an hour. The finished build (model?) looks great and is larger then I thought it would be for such a small brick count. The main model is solidly built with the only exception being the bombs under the wings and the landing gear flaps next to the wheels. Those came loose a few times but I will just use some super glue to fix that issue. With those two exceptions, I think the model will hold up to being played with and have no issues. For a set that is under 300 pieces it is a bit pricey at $30 but the end result may make it worth it for a military fan.
