This could be brilliant. It's durable, well designed and comes with a lifetime replacements parts warranty. It's fairly priced. And it looks very good.However the cable glad doesn't work well with oval cables, so it's hard to make watertight. And yet these are marine lights!Brootzo say to seal with silicone inside and out, but this makes little sense. What is needed is a different gland and better facility to tighten each part for better cable gland grip. If they flattened the gland housing so spanner woukd grip this could help for example.This isn't only an issue on this light. I bought two others to use outdoors. These have problems on the glands as well and even more bemusingly the light glass and cage screws into the bulb holders body, with an inadequate o ring to seal. Brootzo issue PTFE tape and instructions on how to use to seal the threads. This or more silicone would work, but given I have ip66 lights elsewhere I don't have to do any fiddling with, it feels like a few small design changes would take this from being good to great. If you think I'm being picky, having an inch+ of water collecting in the glass that needs emptying, feels like a bit of a fail, rather than a picky point. Solved with the tape and silicone, but without it dangerous.Brootzo are great in helping sort all this out - with prompt, friendly advice, which is very reassuring.A few small tweaks and their hundred year warranty would be the cherry on a mighty fine cake...

Only ordered two to see what the quality was like and I was not disappointed. Very well made and a excellent finish. Decided to go for these after reading the reviews of some of the other cheaper bulkhead lights. They have a thick glass case with a very thick rubber seal that looks more than adequate to cope with the British weather. Will be purchasing more of these for my garden very soon.Ordered three more lights for the garden. Arrived nice and quick like the previous order. One of the wings nuts on the lamp was broken so I emailed them for a replacement. They replied within 24 hours explaining that they will send two wing nuts out (one for a spare) couldn't be more happy with the company and the products.
