Rubie's Star Wars A New Hope Deluxe Princess Leia Costume

Fits a little small in the chest area but great quality for the price. Loved the wig. I used bobby pins to secure it and it worked great.

I was worried it'd be too big/long for me. I'm 5'4"and usually wear a size small but the length was ok, barely touching the floor without heels. The fabric is thick and not sheer. Not great for warm weather. The wig is pretty cool and the belt is ties on the back.

The gown was fine, except for the neck part. It has a small Velcro tab that wouldn't stay closed. It was too tight, but it was fine leaving it open. The wig that comes with the costume is horrible. I'm so glad I listened to the other reviewers and bought a separate one. The belt is cheesy too, but that's to be expected. I paired this with a plastic gun I painted black and it was a hit! The costume was comfortable overall, and I can't wait to wear it again!

great costume but runs very, very small! A size 6-8 fits well. Anything larger than that would be a struggle! The wig does seem a little small but did fit and fit tightly. Material is pretty sheer so make sure to wear clothes under it!

Got this for my 5' tall daughter who is just a little too big to fit into a child's costume. It fit just as expected, a little long but using the belt, I was able to pull up the top part a little bit and have it hang over just a tad over the belt so it fit her perfectly. The hair was very cute and will work out just great for Halloween! It came in a hair net for extra protection but I think it will hold up just fine. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase and my daughter is super excited for Halloween!!

This costume was just okay for me, based on the price. The gown itself is heavy material, so that's nice and makes it not see through since it is white. The belt that it comes with is simply a piece of thin fabric with the "belt" printed on the front and you tie it in the back. Super cheesy. For this price, I expected it to be a real belt, made of more durable, thicker material with a velcro closure or similar. The fit is marked as "standard" and that is accurate as a one size fits most. My teenage daughter wore this (120 lbs, 5'2") and I tried it on myself (150 lbs, 5'6") just to see how it will fit if I decide to wear it in the future. The length is good - it was a little long for her but perfect length for me. This would easily accommodate a little heavier person, I had plenty of room in the width but it didn't look baggy if I tied the belt. The wig was going every direction and one of the buns was partially coming undone. I'm sure with some adjusting I could have gotten it to a better condition, but we didn't use it and just did her real hair in the style of Leia. Overall, I would probably have purchased the more expensive $50 Leia costume for better quality. The only reason I didn't was because it was for my daughter and it was a little too revealing and "grown up" for her. :)

I didn't have high hopes for this costume, so I was pleasantly surprised that it exceeded my expectations. First off, it's really long but thankfully it worked out perfect for me. I am only 5'2" and once I put on the belt and then pulled up the excess to get the blousy effect like in the picture, the length was just what I wanted - down to my ankles. The costume pulls over the head, and fastens at the back of the neck with some scratchy velcro. After wearing this costume once, the seams of the arms (near the wrist area) are starting to come unraveled - I can sew that back up because I will wear this for future Halloweens. The material is thicker than I expected, but still see-through so I wore white pants and a white long sleeved shirt underneath and it was perfect (and warm enough). Lastly, I did not wear the wig because my hair is brown and long enough to twist into real Princess Leia buns. Besides, the buns on the wig hang too low in my opinion, and look more like knots than buns due to their size being a little smaller in diameter but thicker in the middle than expected.

The gown is fine, but thin. I wore a slip underneath it. The "belt" is just cloth & ties in back. It could have been longer. The wig was just ok. It needs to be bigger. I wore the costume to answer the door on Halloween. So I only needed to be seen from the front. If I was to go to an event, I would recommend embellishing the belt somewhat- or creating something yourself as it looks kind of unfinished to have the little knot in back. Also, I would look for a bigger wig. I kept having to pull it down over my ears & the back of my hairline was not able to be covered due to the wig's size.I received many compliments from the Trick or Treaters, though.Also of note, Amazon had a much better price for this costume than the localpop-up Halloween stores.

I usually make my costumes for Conventions but at the last minute needed something to use that matched my friend's Hans Solo costume.This was in stock and looked ok, so I order. It ended up far exceeding my expectations! It comes with a dress, belt, and wig.Kids frequently came up to me at a convention and wanted a photo which is pretty crazy for a store-bought costume.The wig is high quality and immediately makes anyone look like Leia. The belt is kinda cheap and painted on, so if you were going to change one thing this would be it.The dress is rather thick so you won't need to worry if you need to wear something under it. Pair it with some boots to complete the look, but overall everything you need is included.

This costume worked great. It is a little on the thin side so wear something underneath. I got the large and I’m 5’7” and 165lbs. The belt is a little on the flimsy side-I’d recommend beefing it up a bit. But all in all the costume worked great for Halloween.

Decent quality costume for a decent price, especially in comparison to other Leia costumes! Hair buns are smaller than in photo and wig runs a bit tight. The neck part was so tight that I could barely keep it fastened! Nice and long though and wig was good quality ;)

Fit was great. I'm a size 14/16 and it fit, but not too tight. People were impressed by the wig. I recommend buying boots to complete the outfit.
