I've had this gate up for about a month now and I love it! It's on my bedroom door to keep my senior cat and energetic (also senior) dog separate, so I use it multiple times a day with no issue. There is a small gap at the bottom but I just put a door draft blocker in front of it that I has and also the cat really doesn't try to get out at all in the first place. We were a bit worried about it holding up since we had to attach it to the door frame but no issues at all. I've loved having it to allow airflow since my room gets basically no AC in the summer so keeping the door closed all day isn't much of an option. Good product that is easy to use and install, and works really well for daily use!

We have been looking a long time for a gate for our deck. As you can see we have large dogs and one is an athletic jumper! I was worried he might jump over but fortunately this height is a no pass zone for him! Now we can safely secure them when needed! I took pictures of how we secured it on one side using 3 very large zip ties and screws on the other side. It is extremely secured and easy to use. Highly recommend this product…it has given us much needed relief and peace of mind!

This is so much better than a traditional baby gate. It is very well made and great price. The retracting is great and leaves so much space when it isn't needed ,unlike traditional gates. Also great for odd areas or large opening . I purchased this to block a staircase along with bookcases ect near my front door . Tried several other gates and nothing worked. I highly recommend this gate . And it is very high ,I have a Cane Corso so it helps and my grandson likes to throw things over th other baby gates , he can't with this one . Nor put his arms and legs through it .

This was a gift I requested for my birthday for the following reason: I have a mostly-fenced yard that doubles as shared parking for me and my neighbors (two homes; four cars). My neighbors have a dog. I have a dog.We agreed that it would be nice to be able to have a fully fenced-in yard for each of our dogs to play in. We also recognized that we'd need to be able to re-open the fence at a moment's notice if one of us needed to get in or out of the parking area. The gap in our yard is at the driveway.This gate is being used outside as a quick and easy way to close the fence off (to make the yard playable for the dogs), and to open easily if someone needs to move their car through the driveway.GAP AT THE BOTTOM:Luckily for us, my dog is giant (110 lbs) and their is medium-large (between 40-60lbs), so the gap on the bottom isn't an issue for our babies. Though they could very well fit through the gap, they'd have to try fairly hard, and there would be PLENTY of time to get them. I couldn't install the piece in the middle that's meant to solve this issue (I'm not qualified to drill into concrete/gravel ground), so I cannot speak on its effectiveness. It might solve that issue, but, if it doesn't: this would NOT prevent small-medium dogs, cats, nor babies / toddlers from crawling underneath. There's plenty of space, and it's fabric (very push-able)EASE OF INSTALLATION:I installed this by myself and had no issues relating to the product (my drill broke, but that's because my drill is old)EASE OF USE:It's SUPER easy to get the gate set up. It's much more difficult to get the gate put away. Setting it up takes less than 30 seconds. Putting it back takes 3+ minutes. When you want to open the gate back up, due to the height of the fabric (a height that's necessary for our dogs), the fabric crumples a bit. It's nearly impossible to keep it completely taught and smooth when you're opening it. The folds in the fabric cause a jam--the fabric gets caught when attempting to roll around the storage pole thing. It's a lot of pulling, re-pulling, re-pulling, and manual-twisting of the pole thing. Even then, it doesn't always go all the way back (sometimes there's a flap of fabric that just refuses to twist back around the pole).STURDINESS / WEATHER:It feels fairly sturdy, and has experienced no visible nor mechanical changes in the 2 months it's been outside (it has experienced a great deal of storms in those 2 months, and still feels and functions the same as when I first installed it). Though this hasn't been tested, I feel certain it would rip, or fall down, or the plastic would break if my dog (the giant one) tried to jump on it. If she put her two front paws on this, I have no doubt I'd be supergluing the plastic clasps back together--and that's only if the fabric doesn't tear. I can't tell if it's a sturdy-enough fabric to not-rip in a situation like that. I get the sense that the plastic clasps are weaker than the fabric, and suspect they'd break before the fabric is damaged, but, again, no clue.WOULD I RECOMMEND?H*ll yes, I recommend this. Even with its quirks and difficult bits, it's absolutely amazing. It's long enough to close our 13ft gap (and you still have fabric left over), it's quick to get down (though not quick to put away), and it's tall enough that our dogs can't get over it (even though some dogs/cats/children could get under it when it doesn't have that middle security piece installed). This changed my life, and my dog's life, for the better. 9/10 recommend (-1 for the difficulty and the gap; +9 for every other aspect)

This is an excellent gate, I put it at the top of my stairs to keep my dog from going up and down the stairs.Not sure how secure it would be for babies on stairs since there is a gap at the bottom little ones could push and crawl through. Small dogs and even large dogs could also.Easy install.

Previously to this product I used a baby gate to keep my big dog in a certain part of the house when I was not home, it did not work out, he was able to get over it and it kind of scared him a little I think because of the gate look, but this product works great, really nice height, looks nice too, and it doesn’t take up much space, when not being used it’s like it’s not there. Overall really happy with this product, if you’re looking for something to use to keep pets out of a certain part of your home, will work great, and sure it would be great kids as well.

When ever i roll this thing up and i have to unroll it and reroll it with my full attention or it'll catch on itself and not look good. i have it an inch of the ground and my dogs figured out how to get under it but that's a me issue not a product issue

This was a very welcome and elegant replacement for what can only be described as an expanding wooden baby gate... barricade constructed to separate a new - very angry - cat as she acclimates. It's a great height, extremely sturdy (I might end up replacing the hooks with metal ones as another review mentioned) but I would trust this with even largish dogsInstall was quick and easy for one person and they supply a lot of different screws/anchors. Pretty pleased and while it's almost TOO sturdy to move through frequently with ease I'll be getting another 1 or 2 for other areas of the house.
