Badly designed, made-in-China glasswork
Radiometers need to have CLEAR glass globes in order to derive the necessary full spectrum of light energy they need to spin. These colored globes deprive the radiometer of needed energy from the light spectrum. Different colored globes spin faster than others because different colors block more energy than others (hence, why plants are green). Blue and green radiometer globes spin the slowest. In fact, I couldn't make these spin unless they were hanging in full sun, and they eventually stopped spinning as they warmed up. It is better to buy a European-made clear globe with colored glass inside (check other sites) than these inexpensive knock-offs. Although European-made glass is 2-3x more expensive, it actually works. These radiometers are essentially useless, being much too finicky to spin, even weakly.
