I use for mostly voice commands on my computer with rare voice chat. Works well for me and I always sit a about a foot away from it.

Nice small microphone that I can easily carry in my laptop backpack when I travel, or in my daily backpack with my iPad, phone, or other devices to record video or make calls outside when I go to the park and sit outside. I also have a non-profit that runs all through cyberspace so our board meetings are held on the phone or Skype. I like how this will give me the option to move around my apartment more during meetings and not need to have my hand on the phone so much. It will pick up my voice from a further distance and I can hear better through connected speakers without having a headset in my ear the whole time. It’s nice how it does have the option of attaching headphones or a speaker to it so it’s really versatile. The USB adapter is a nice bonus to make it even more useable for a variety of devices. It’s not complicated to figure out on the phone or computer, but better instructions could be helpful for some probably. It would also be nice if it came with a small portable bag to keep the microphone, wire adapter, and USB adapter together more easily. I carry around a lot of little devices and it really helps to have them separated into separate bags or containers to keep the wires from getting tangled. Otherwise, overall a good product for more casual use.

Clear and loud if you put your mouth almost on the device. 1ft - 2ft you are quiet as a mouse. 3ft+ you are gone completely. That's with the sensitivity cranked up in Windows. My laptop mic is many times better than this..I was looking for something better than the default laptop mic. Would be better off using the recording app on my cell phone. Garbage.

Great microphone in good quality. I bought it because my desktop doesn't have microphone unlike laptops. And I found it clearer than my microphone in laptop when I was having meeting with people in Google talk. Nice product.
