Graphite 7-pc Self-Sharpening Block Set

I had used a friends Henckels chefs knife at an event and was impressed. I then did an exhaustive review search before purchasing. I can very honestly say, this is the best knife set I’ve ever bought. The knives feel good in your hands and have good balance. It feels like you are cutting butter the sharpness is so smooth. I chose the graphite 7 piece set and it offers every knife size I would need. And let’s be candid about the appearance…..they are kinda sexy on the counter.

Sharp out of the box, pretty well balanced, and comfortable to grip in front of and behind the bolster. Has some heft from being forged, but isn’t as heavy as other forged knives I’ve had, which should be great for the repetitive prep tasks. The first thing I did after opening was rinse and test the chef’s knife on a thick-rind lime, and it sliced through beautifully without a hint of resistance. I’m rebuilding my knife collection from scratch after some kitchen boxes were lost in a move (the tears were profuse). Needed a decent set of affordable everyday workhorses to tide me over while I reassemble my favorite German and Japanese pieces back into the personal all-star set. I’ve always loved and relied on Henckles Classic/Zwilling for the foundational everyday set, but took a chance on these after reading good reviews elsewhere and liking the idea of the built-in honing block. (If you’re like me, you’d rather tear something apart with your bare hands than use even a slightly dull knife). Will post an update after trying each knife over some time, but as of now, I’d say you’d be hard pressed to find a better deal for a set of forged knives at this price point. For less than you’d typically pay for one quality chef’s knife or 8” Santoku (I purchased the 7-piece set with the self-sharpening block at $142), you get six sharp staples and a pair of shears—pretty difficult to beat!

These knifes are incredibly sharp thanks to the self-sharpening block set that is inside the block itself. They cut with ease whether that's meat, vegetables, or even your own finger (woops). These knives work great and I would highly recommend them to anybody that is looking for their first solid set of kitchen knives.

These are from a master of cutlery. Ours has the automatic sharpener built-in to each knife slot. This keeps them constantly sharpened. We use them at Thanksgiving. And were able to slice the turkey so then and it was perfect, every slice. We love them so much! We bought a exact set for a friend who has a cooking degree for Christmas. You will not find a better set of knives!!

To start these knives look great and are very sharp. But I received them and the box had already been opened and re taped closed. A lot of the knives were very beat up like someone threw them out into the street. The knives are probably great but the seller is terrible. I will be getting the same set after I return these from the actual company.

They are extremely sharp and feel good in your hand. Not too heavy and, for me, the graphite look is pleasing. Very happy with this set.

Christmas gift and she LOVES the quality! She loves that they sharpen in the stand. She loves how the slots are labeled which most knife blocks are not. The block is beautiful on the counter and the handles are comfortable and heavy and sturdy which she likes. It was a prime days special so it was a really great deal and we are all thrilled! In fact my friend ended up getting me to order her a set too!

I am extremely satisfied with the HENCKELS Graphite knife set. It has all of the essential knives for everyday cooking tasks. The kitchen shears are perfect for trimming herbs or cutting poultry. The storage block has built-in sharpeners. No more dull knives!

I like how the handle is all part of the knife and not the usual wooden handle thing. It's going to last a *long* time. The only reason one star was removed is because the sharpening feature of the block is 100% pointless. It doesn't sharpen the knives at all what so ever. It's ok though, because I'll just sharpen them using a separate sharpener. Other than that, this knife set is very solid. I like how it's very metally, with the block having a metal face also. Very classy. Yes I would buy this again. It's part of our kitchen now, and loved when prepping every meal !

Love these knives. Love how they're always nice and sharp and always in there place. Nice block to put them in to keep things tidy.
