Avatar Art: Neo-Vedic Paintings Celebrating Life Hardcover – May 30, 2016

This book is everything I was hoping it would be. Fantastic artwork, with information and stories on the facing page. High quality cover and pages; it’s surprisingly heavy for its size.

This beautifully done book is packed full of excellent art and enough information to fill in the stories of each avatar. I like also that each artist is acknowledged.

Very nicely compiled book. The art is also fresh in most of the illustrations which I was looking for. I think there is a great need for new art like this for eastern historical and mythical characters.Very nice book. Highly recommended.

This is an incredible book: pictures are both classics and recents, and the author describes them beautifully. He also gives specific details, not usually known, which makes it more interesting.

Many pictures are too small and in the copy I received cover was pasted in reverse, upside down. It's glued in so cannot be corrected (when you open the book you start with last page of the book upside down).

I received Avatar Art as a gift. My first thought was “ this isn't really for me”, but when I started to read it and examine the pictures I was amazed at how interesting and informative it was and I practically couldn't put it down! I highly recommend this book for art lovers and casual browsers alike- the pictures are gorgeous, but even better are the descriptions-- so full of insight and inspiration. Finally a book on Indian avataras that can be easily understood by a lay person!!!!

It’s NEW? Okay but it’s broken one.

Very informative. To the Westerner, Hindu and Vedic scriptures can seem hard to get one's head around, but this book is a good way to get an insight.The paintings and descriptive writing are excellent, but it's a pity the book is not also available in a larger format. This would be better to fully appreciate the paintings.
