The wood handles on this seam ripper is long enough for a full handgrip, plus they are not bulky, so they are easy and comfortable to manipulate. The combination is a huge improvement over the crappy little plastic handles on most seam rippers. They also come with a wrist lanyard, which I find handy for hanging the ripper from a thread stand.The ripping end itself is "just right". Sharp enough, long enough, and not too wide (I hate seam rippers with wide open blade ends).Clearly handmade, as I bought two and the handles differ slightly.

If you're used to those cheap seam rippers you buy at your local craft/ sewing store, this is a big upgrade. The tip is slim and get under even tight seams. The blade is sharp and it's comfortable to hole. Though, it does feel a bit awkward at times due to the length of the handle as most are shorter. It takes time to get used to it, but you will. But it's also easy enough to cut a bit of the handle off. It's well worth the price

The wood handle is comfortable in the hand and a nice size, easy to hold and not clunky. The blade is very sharp and the prongs are narrow and tapered in the front, so it is very easy to pick even very small stitches. The nicely shaped handle makes the seam picker easy to control. Very nice product and quality for a fair price.

What drew me to this seam ripper is the handle- my fingers get so cramped from the tiny ones, but this one fixes that issue beautifully. Not only is it a good tool, but it looks nice as well and feels nicely made. Plus, it will be easier to find in the sewing chaos!

I love the wood handle. My only complaint is that it is a tad too long from where you hold it to where the cutting edge is. I am afraid it will not give enough precision control.

Can’t believe I used those TINY plastic ones forever; this one is fantastic, not going back.

I have had several seam rippers, and this one is hands down, (pun intended), the best. The tip gets right to the point of the matter, the blade is on the cutting edge.
