This is a very useful piece of kitchen kit. It is appears to be robust, and it is easy to clean. It also has a protective case. This is ideal for cooking all meats, especially chicken, which can be worrying for less experenced cooks. And of course the much afeared turkey at Christmas. I have used this more for re-heating to be honest, as it can be difficult for even an experienced cook to know for sure if a precooked dish really is "piping hot". I think, this will be finding it's way into my daughters case when she goes to uni next year! It is so easy to use and the read out is very clear. It would also make a nice gift for any cook, or for any one setting up home, and less than confiendent in the kitchen, or for anyone who is a little.... Slpadsh in the kitchen!

It a great tool especially for BBQ cooking but takes a bit longer than other thermometers I have used to give a reading; neat and robust so not unhappy with it.

I have never had a digital meat thermometer before, but I was struck by the design of this one and then convinced myself that it was a new kitchen essential to go my recently upgraded microwave, which works at a different power level from my old one. I wanted to be sure that things were being properly cooked or reheated without over cooking everything just to be on the safe side. This probe is easy to use and provides great reassurance. It is strongly made and has a great safety cover. The large hole in the end allows it to be hung in a handy place, and there is a very strong clip if you wish to carry it like a pen. Although there are depth markings on the probe section, I could hardly see them. It is easy to alternate between Fahrenheit and Celsius, and the timer function is a nice touch too, although I have not been able to get mine to function as the "countdown" timer mentioned in the advertisement..... I have only been able to get it to count upwards, to a maximum of 1h.40.I am very happy with this though and am already benefiting from the use of it.

Made of a very brittle plastic, I'm doubtful how durable this item will be. I tested its response time with a tepid glass of water. The temperature changed several times and over 10 seconds. I'd rather spend a bit extra and get more reliability, such as from the Thermapen, also available on Amazon.

Hello!This thermometer works as it suppose to.It has a nice cover for needle.Seems good quality. Very easy to change from F to C (just hold both bottoms for 3 secundes).It will come very useful for Sunday roast making ;)

good thermometer for a decent price

It is just what I wanted for my cooking. It is convenient to use. I think the quality is not the top but much over average, but worth to have it at this low price.
