Cubic Zirconia Versus Swarovski Crystal There are a few key features of Cubic Zirconia which distinguish it from Swarovski Crystal: Hardness: Cubic Zirconia has a rating of approximately 8 on Mohs hardness scale vs. a rating of only 6 for Swarovski Crystal making Cubic Zirconia less prone to scratches. Cubic Zirconia also has a higher refractive index than Swarovski Crystal giving it more sparkle - to the extent that a Cubic Zirconia gem stone is indistinguishable from a real diamond to the untrained eye. Lovely little earrings.Fit comfortably in ear.Small and sparkly enough to look a little like the ‘real thing’ .The stone seems secure... hopefully won’t fall out. I have only worn twice so far but seems very good value for money.
