Worth every penny!
I was skeptical, like many others. I can assure you: I have two "normal" cats, I did NOT get this item in return for feedback, and received NO special anything for this review. (I worried about that when I read the other reviews.) Anyway, this bag is magical, I think! The cats fought over who got to sit/sleep on it straight out of the package, and they don't mind being zipped up in it at all! I used it 2 days ago to cut their nails - first time I was able to cut them by myself! There are two Velcro slots at the front on each side for their paws to come out. This morning, I used the bag to apply medicine to their ears by myself... super easy! It's made of a heavy-weight type fabric that keeps their feet secure so they don't run away, and protects you from their sharp nails. No, it doesn't protect you from biting, but I don't know of anything reasonable that does. But for normal cats, who just don't like to be "fiddled" with, this bag is a god-send. I highly recommend it!

Have 2 angry cats, but this bag works and is awesome!
Bought two of these bags to take my 2 very skittish older rescue cats for rabies vaccines. Got them in with no problems! They whined pathetically the entire way, but were secure and safe. Shots given without problem. Upon returning home, we needed to wash one of the cats who had multiple ‘accidents ‘. My daughter and I were able to wash the cat in the bag! I have never been able to wash a cat without bodily injury to myself. Both bags were size large. Fix 10lb cat and 20lb cat without problems.

Great for long travel
We moved from Raleigh to Orlando and wanted our princess to be as comfy as possible. We'd previously moved from NY to Raleigh, and that drive with her was horrible. She was in a mesh crate, but totally not happy about it. Cried and cried, panted. Was not a good trip. For this one, we took her in this bag. And it was totally a non issue. I could pet her the whole time. She could see. Mostly she just laid down for the trip. She sat up once to stretch while the car was moving, and again at stops. She meowed exactly two times, and only one meow each time. Total drive time was just shy of 10 hours. We stopped twice (the first time was when there was a flying insect in the car and she wanted to chase it, which...didn't work in the bag...which was good - no running around loose in the car!) and someone stayed in the car with her both times. She much preferred to be driving over the stopped for humans to pee! We offered her food (which she ate) and water (which she ignored), and put her in her litter box before we left (and she went).Getting her in the bag was something we practiced before driving with her. It's doable with one person, but easier with two. We also drove around for 2ish hours twice before doing the long trip. The picture is of her sitting up. I wouldn't want to drive 10 hours with her every day, but she really was much better for this trip than any other we've done. This is definitely how we will be transporting her from now on. We will see how it goes at the vet, since she likes to get back in her crate when we go there. Maybe the bag will help there too!

When your cat has lost carrier privileges...
I purchased this as a last resort after one of my cats developed severe issues with leaving the house. He destroyed a Sherpa soft carrier (my other cat still uses one - this is an issue with my cat, not that carrier), and would go berserk in a hard carrier, attacking the metal door and hurting himself, even with anti-anxiety meds on board. We used the Cat in the Bag for the first time today to go to the vet. I wouldn't say he likes this carrier, and he's definitely not as calm as the cats in the YouTube videos. He struggled periodically, but wasn't able to get out (it's important to get the neck tight enough so that they can't get their front paws out that way), and didn't hurt himself. I'm considering that a victory. Some things to remember:- tighten the neck so that they can't sneak their front paws out -- they will try!- I don't recommend carrying it by the strap; it seems like it puts pressure on the neck hole. I carried him against my chest and put one arm through the smallest strap for security.- Don't leave your cat unattended on a high surface while in this. They may struggle and fall.

Do not pick your cat up by the handle
This bag is relatively useless. Lifting the cat by the handle seems to put all the tension on the neck hole. There is nothing sturdy for your cat to stand on so they get strangled. This was not calming for my cat at all, he panicked. A regular crate would be more comfortable. This fabric also feels too heavy for the cat to stay cool. The zipper is, disappointingly, not a double zipper, so if I needed to use it to trim my cats hind quarters or trim his hind claws, I can't. Might as well use a towel or something you have more control with. Don't waste your money on this product.

Not for every cat
I have 3 cats and at the time of purchase two needed oral medication. It worked great for my less insane cat, but for my large psycho cat not so much. After three uses he did what I thought was impossible and tore the bag completely open with his hind claw! Thankfully I was able to return it. I would still recommend this product, it's just not for every cat.

Our cat hates it!

Easy to use
Got this to help keep our pet cat still whilst we put drops in his eye. Stopped us getting clawed, just the job.

My cat refuses to get inside this bag.
If the cat does not want to get inside this bag there is no way you can get her in and calm her down.

Amazing!
Unbelievable! My cat normally claws up the inside of her carrier and howls during any car ride. She hates the vet and claws and bites. Vet exams mean wrapping her up in a towel. First time she was put in the bag she was absolutely fine. I carried her around. Second time, we went to the vet. The car ride was great! She didn't howl... just looked around. Sat up, lay down... no problem. The vet actually did her exam while she was still in the bag... just unzipped the back, examined, gave her the shots with only a couple of hisses out of my cat! I think the collar part made the cat think she was contained still when she really wasn't. Follow up visit with the vet went just as well. The vet is going to order a bag or two herself now. It was a real hit!

Didn’t work for my cats.
I bought two of these bags and both of my cats hated them. We travel with our two cats to the cottage and back many times during the year. I have large hard shell carriers for each one but I’m always trying to find something that would make them more comfortable and less stressed. When the two cat bags arrived I put our cats in them for short periods of time and also left them laying about so they could get used to them. When it came to their first car trip with the bags I got them in easy enough but after about 10 minutes they both started panting like crazy. I thought they were too warm and turned the a/c up full but I finally figured out they were panting because they were stressed. I ended up taking them out of the bags and sitting with them in the back seat.
