Save your money for a better instrument
I'm an Orchestra teacher and I say no. I gave this a fair trial and found that although it was not bad in comparison to the other junk on the market ( Cecilio, Mendini, Easter, ect.). My issue is really with the bow. They come with terrible bows and you will need to buy a new bow within a few weeks. For the money, it's not worth it. I say go for a nice used violin and save yourself the headache.

Do Not Buy This Toy Violin
When I pulled this violin out of the box, the first thing that struck me was the fact that the ebony wood on the neck is actually painted on. Then I tried to tune it immediately found that the tuning pegs wouldn’t hold any tension at all. So, I took it to a luthier, and they immediately started laughing when they pulled it out. They remarked at how it was a painted toy violin made with cheap wood painted to look like ebony. They said there was no way to actually play or tune it.There is absolutely no way the reviews on this violin are real. It’s companies like this that ruin trust with ordering anything online.

The price is attractive, the performance is poor
I'm writing this review from COVID ridden 2020.This violin was purchased for my daughter's 7th grade virtual orchestra class. The price is extremely attractive. It was less expensive than the rental fee through her school which is what prompted us to buy this model. The fingerboard and the body are of good quality. The instrument feels nice in the hands. Though it felt light to both of us but that is likely due to the fact that both my daughter and I are guitar players. The bow is good quality as well. The general sound is fine. There is a massive issue with this violin though. The tuners are extremely weak. So weak in fact that you can see them unwinding under the tension of the string. The higher strings cannot even tune to the appropriate notes (the A and E strings). G and D strings do OK but will need to be tuned with every single play session and likely during the session even if the session is short. For the A and E strings we've been trying to get within a step to a step and half of the desired note and then use the fine tuners from there but we end up at least 3 steps below as the tuners unwind before our eyes. The fine tuners will NOT get you there either. The range is about 2 to -maybe- 2 and half steps. If you are wanting your kid (or yourself) to have a good experience playing and thus continue playing, this is NOT the instrument you want. Having a poor experience playing will create a block to enjoyment that could last a lifetime. Don't buy this garbage. You will be better off renting from school or spending more on a higher quality instrument.

The most amazing instrument of all - even for an advanced player it is very very good
Amazing violin at this price. I have played nearly 20 years and have played violins ranging over $20,000.00 with bows ranging upwards to $5,000.00 - This violin set is an amazing value at this price. I see nothing wrong with it at all, not any of it, and I'm still looking it over in amazement. While the more expensive violins have some detailing that can be noticed to be more finely crafted, when it comes down to it, do you buy a violin for how it looks? or how it plays? This violin and bow not only looks great, the best part is it also sounds wonderful, not like a toy like some of the others in this price range. This is a real violin and bow by every definition. The genuine Brazilwood bow is well-balanced with wonderful details and has good 'bounce' even for a more advanced player. The case is strong and light. Even comes with first-class rosin that I would compare to the finest grade French Millant dark rosin which has superb finish and is not sticky. There's everything you need in this set-up and at an unbelievable price. All you need are lessons with a good teacher and your own willingness to practice and you will be enjoying the adventure and accomplishment that comes from learning to play the violin.

Good enough violin for s 3 year old, budding/starting violinist (1/16th size)
Purchased 1/16th size for 3 year old. This was a third party request gift. I had my violin/cello playing daughter set up the instrument for the purchaser. After she set up the violin, the violin sounded much better than expected. It sounded much better than the first 1/16th size violin my daughter purchased 15 years ago for similar price..Few items to note, the sound post was in approximately proper position, and did not require alteration. The bridge was bit high, but it was playable as it was. The strings on this 120$ violin cannot be expected to out-perform much more expensive strings, and it did not. However, the supplied strings were above cheap average strings one can purchase in ebay for less than 10 dollars. I recommend if you wish to upgrade go with 25$+ minimum strings.(Helicore or similar). But, for the beginner to see if the child show any interest or inclination, this might do a trick. I know some more serious players and teachers frown upon the "cheaper" purchase, but I say why not, at about 125$ it is a cost conscious decision to see if the child will take to the violin. One has to upgrade to larger violin soon any way, up to 1/10 or 1/8 size. I think especially at this early stage of 3 year old, this option of 125$ violin is perfectly viable prospect.Case was nothing special, but padded and enough for the expressed purpose. The bow was little on the cheap side, however, commensurate for the price.paid.The sound of the violin was decent once setup. Again, the sound can be greatly improved by use of better set of strings. It is a recommended buy at that relatively low price. At this price why rent?

bridge and peg have some problems
The bridge arrangement is not straight and one peg is loose and cannot be fixed. There is a lot of chemical smell. This product is poor quality. I'm not recommend it.

Cheap violin, cheap construction and materials.
This violin came with poor quality strings, impossible to tune. More like an expensive toy than an instrument.
