MS32LED Professional Tabletop Lightbox Photo Studio Kit with LED Lighting for Product Photography

Bought this after my amateur light setup pieced together from google and youtube ended up being inadequate for work level photo shoot. Setup was a breeze, the document included link to a youtube video, which is an added plus since it was easier to follow that static manual. Construction is solid, not the best material but definitely not the worst, pretty good for the price you pay for. Light seemed a bit dark but after couple trial shoots and tweaking wit the "adjustable" light walls, my product shoots were close to perfection! Still have to edit a bit post shoot but that's normal. Would recommend for anyone looking for cost effective, hassle free, don't want to build your own light tent solution.

With the MyStudio MS20PRO, you get everything you need (save the camera and tripod) to produce great looking photos of small items. By small, I mean that anything taller than 10 inches or so won't have much headroom if you want the white cyclorama to fill the background.The kit gives you a lot of versatility with lamp and bounce card placement, though I did purchase an extra lamp (AL1) for even more options (not used in these test shots).I haven't had occasion to use the flags (black cards) yet or the black reflective surface, but the white reflective surface works quite nicely, as seen in the phone photo.The kit comes with a DVD or instructional videos for setup and photography tips, which is nice.Attached to this review are a couple quick photos I took when I first set it up (I'm no professional photographer, so bear with me). In the shot of the phone, you can faintly see the edge of the reflective surface, but that could easily be removed in post. With the tea kettle, you'd probably want to play with the exposure a bit (in camera or in post) to get the background whiter, and as you can see, reflections of the lights and bounce cards can be tricky with an object like this, but with a little experimentation and adjustment, those should be easily fixable.Overall, it's a great kit, and highly recommended if you're looking for an easy and inexpensive all-in-one solution.

This product does the job it was designed for very, very well. That said, it was designed by photographers; with is why it works so well photographically, but is less than robust mechanically.The shortcomings are nothing awful mind you, and some components really are excellent. The cyclorama curved corner background is a simply excellent component. The 5000K lighting elements matched to the white chosen for this background is also excellent. Less excellent: - The diffusor/reflector mounted on the aluminum stand is only adequate - The stand is not particularly stable, and the reflector will vibrate or slowly waver unless these motions are damped in some way - The stand will balance fairly well on its own but MUCH prefers to be clamped down - it is not simple to assemble, but careful and thoughtful assembly will produce the correct result - the lighting element fixtures are finicky and easy to damage when removing the diffusor lenses - the fixtures are bolted to the aluminum frame, but tighten those bolts more than minimally necessary to hold it, and you will bow the body of the lighting fixture.Finally, due to the size of the area illuminated, this product greatly benefits from the paired additional lighting elements sold separately. Not absolutely essential depending on your needs. I found them essential.All this can be managed, and forgiven, because when it is all together (and improved as you see fit and need :) it works just as it should. I would buy it again, and recommend.

QUALITY:I purchased the bundle set which includes the 5 mat board backgrounds and 2 reflector cards. It arrived with parts missing, which isn't a big deal since it seems pretty hassle-free to request for missing parts. However, one thing I find that the other reviews did not stress enough on is the quality of the material used for this product. To put it simply, all the items included in this bundle- with material cost taken into consideration, could not have gone pass 35-40USD to manufacture, making the price of 130, in my opinion, hardly justifiable. The mat board backgrounds are craft papers you would find at the common arts & craft stores, same with the reflectors which are also just craft boards with a gloss finish, also can be found at any arts & craft store for a fairer price. The plastic stand/frame which holds up the light is also made of flimsy, low quality plastic. If you are looking to get your money worth in quality, sturdy manufacturing, I would suggest finding an alternative source, or building your own through Home Depot, Lowes, etc. and arts & craft stores.FUNCTION:With that said, the product functions as advertised. It works better than light boxes, but not as well as soft boxes/continuous lighting kits; but if you are handy with a digital-SLR (professional digital camera) it should be sufficient. It 'can' be portable but not built to be conveniently so.PRO: Simple. Functional.CON: Low quality built/cheap parts. Not conveniently portable. Limited angles. Limited height.CONCLUSION:If you are just looking for a quick solution and a simple setup to taking decent quality professional product photos (better than what light boxes can produce), then this will do the job; but if you are looking for a quality built studio kit, this is not what you will get.PERSONAL:The concept of this product is excellent. I hope to see other merchants take notice and produce similar kits to drive up the competition so that we can see fairer and lower prices.
